We had a three-course dinner at the restaurant, including drinks. Upon arrival, the staff seemed somewhat disinterested in serving us, and we were left waiting while they were busy decorating a part of the restaurant. Despite there being only three parties dining in the entire restaurant, the staff showed little interest in answering questions and repeatedly turned their backs on us and walked away. At one point, we had to raise our voices and shout to get the waiter’s attention, despite the fact that there were only three parties in the whole restaurant.
Towards the end of the meal, we ordered dessert, which was listed as sorbet on the menu. We ordered two sorbets, which turned out to be “slush puppies” with alcohol. It was not sorbet, and the dessert was far from edible or drinkable. When it came time to pay, we shared our criticism and mentioned that we had ordered sorbet, not alcoholic slush puppies. The waiter was unresponsive and claimed that it wasn’t his problem—since we ordered it, we had to pay for it.
We tried to explain that the dessert was very poor and did not match the menu description at all, but the waiter remained indifferent and insisted that we must pay. We clarified that the issue was not about the money—especially as we had already paid the bill—but we simply wanted to express our dissatisfaction. The waiter was still unresponsive and remarked that in Spain, one doesn’t complain after eating.
I strongly advise against visiting this restaurant unless you're willing to pay an overpriced amount for something akin to school food. The food, overall, was not particularly good and was overpriced. Normally, this wouldn’t matter as much if the experience was pleasant, but bad food combined with bad service is no way to run a restaurant. We won’t be returning and strongly recommend others avoid making the same mistake. There are plenty of other restaurants around the corner that serve better food at either the same or lower prices. Do yourself a favor and choose a different restaurant with better food at a...
Read moreI was so hoping for this place to be a new dinner spot for us, but sadly made the total opposite impression when we walked in.
We were sat down in the restaurant which after a while we found quite disappointing and almost like it had been rundown.
On a positive note though, the view was incredible, even though the main terrace isn’t open yet (which I find weird as it’s their main selling point and where I wanted to sit), the view from the windows are great. FYI if you want the seats in the front of the restaurant, there’s an extra charge ;)
Next up was the food. We started with the house bread, which was delicious, absolutely loved it. But then an hour has gone by since we ordered and our Rice Fish dish finally arrived, but to much disappointment… The rice was very over cooked and the seafood did not taste fresh at all. After taking a few bites, I couldn’t take anymore, just didn’t not taste good at all.
After trying the food and taking into account our experience so far, we made a decision to leave. It was the things such as the decor and the fact it was now very late at night and the food was poor, we actually stood up and went up to the counter to pay for the meal there. To which we walked out and got back in the car, utterly disappointed as from the pictures this place looks amazing. What a great spot for a restaurant though, just not this one!
Just wish it was as good...
Read moreVery nice location and unique structure to dine in. We have previously visited in last few years of holidaying in Torrevieja. Unfortunately since our first visit the experience has deteriorated each time. The place could do with a refurbishment. Service is a bit slow. Menus are also very grubby.
There are many options to choose from on the menu, I feel too many and maybe a loss of focus on preparing better quality dishes instead of quantity.
Starters ordered included calamari, which was very tough to eat, not even served up with any sauce or wedge of lemon for dressing. The manager offered to bread and re-cook the, already over cooked, calamari assuring us that it would be more tender (it was not more Tender after a second cook).
Burger ordered was very poor. Cheap quality meat that you might expect from side of the road van.
Wine and drinks were nice. Desserts were ok, but not great unfortunately.
Overall the dining experience was very poor considering the high expense, although it is a great location for dining with nice sea views. Just a touch up of the place would make a big difference. I think the food quality needs improvement, maybe fewer dishes of better quality. Hopefully next year...
