Hostal Santa Clara — Restaurant in Torroella de Montgrí

I leave with a lot of sadness and displeasure because one person of the team has shouted at me. ||||The fact that I wanted to collaborate to help them when I saw them that busy, made Maitre's mind think that I wanted to steal, and he automatically treated me with screams, made me cry, and shouted at me in front of everyone, "Get out of my sight!" he said me infront of everybody when I told him speaking in a respectful tone (without raising my voice), that he owed me an apology. He lost the manners becoming very rude to me and non polite, and that's a really bad behaviour. I don't let my Dad shout to me. So can imagine a Hotel Maitre? = Horrible..., unsopportable.|| ||The owner, Clara, and most of the team are excellent people who have never spoken to me and / or treated me out loud.||||What I also found very bad is that I was charged the night I could not sleep because of them: Not having included the key to the front door of the building in my keychain of the tiny staff room 108.||||||While Albert, who corresponds to the uncivilized Maitre who does not know how to control his genius working at the Hostal, does not realize what he has done and apologizes to me personally, they have just lost a noble and honest client.||||Also wish my money back from the night I was not able to get in the Hotel and had to be on the street feeling asleep until 6:30 a.m.||||I always go where I am treated well, I have confidence in it and I am not made to feel like a “thief” by Paranoia.||||A completely unfair, disproportionate and out of...

I've been holidaying in L'estartit for 15 years, and this year I had to stay somewhere different to my usual place and as a result ended up staying in this lovely hostel for a night. Let me say, by no means is this a hostel, its basic yes, and small but it has everything you need, all in good order and condition. And when you meet the lady who owns it, or any of her staff for that matter, you just know your in good hands!!||||She did everything she could to make our stay better, even being very flexible with our checkout time at no extra charge!! She was just wonderful, sweet, welcoming and accomodating, despite looking constantly rushed off her feet with restaurant guests, she always made time to come and check on everyone!! I will certainly be returning here, we had a room with no view nor air con, but that didn't bother us so much, and found it quite pleasant not being at the front of the building! ||||Would recommend this little gem to anyone who wants to visit L'estartit and not pay silly prices for an apartment or sea view!
