My partner and I came here at 2pm, the waiter, a man, first greeted us and seemed very friendly, so we sat down. Then a lady waitress came to us and looked confused that we were sitting down. We asked if it was ok to eat, and she said ya but you should ask me first, and gave us menus. The male waiter from before came and took our order. We ordered a drink each and a tapas to share (the page on the menu we worded from said ‘to share’ which would imply that this was a tapas menu). The waiter was very kind and took our order with no problems and was tolerant of our poor Spanish. After we ordered the female waitress came back and said ‘this is a restaurant, do you understand?? You can’t just order 1 food to share. This is a restaurant’. Her tone was terrible, so condescending and made us feel totally unwelcome. While I can understand that it may be policy that a starter and a main need to be ordered, this should be clear on the menu and could have certainly been delivered a lot more professionally by the waitress. She was extremely unwelcoming and we won’t be returning to this place because of her. We arrived at 8.15 on a Saturday evening and just wanted to have a drink at this venue which is advertised as a restaurant & bar. Only one other table was occupied. We sat at a table that was not made up with cutlery and glassware, as these seem obviously intended for dining. We waited a few minutes, then the waitress came out. We asked for a beer, and before we could order the second drink she said ‘is it only for drinks?’, we said yes and she said ‘sorry the kitchen is open so it is not possible to only drink’. This at a place with only one table occupied, out of season, and unlikely to be fully occupied during the evening. She didn’t give us the option to say we only wanted one drink before moving on. Fuimos a cenar finales de Junio habiendo sido recomendados por un amigo que es del pueblo y cliente del restaurante. La experiencia, por desgracia, no fue positiva. Y no és barato precisamente.
Para empezar los vinos a copas que sirven ponen una cantidad muy escasa, incluso en la siguiente ronda que pedimos, y con algo de vergüenza, tuvimos que pedir si nos podían poner un poco más de cantidad.
El problema principal es la comida. Pedimos chipirones, bravas, burrata y croquetas veganas
La burrata correcta, sin más. Solo acompañada por 4 tomates cherries escaldados. Fue lo más comible de la cena.
Los chipirones estaban secos, demasiado hechos. Se hacían 'bola' en la boca al masticar. Sobrecocinados
Las croquetas más de lo mismo. Ya al servirlas se veían muy tostadas, de un marrón negruzno. Y si, el rebozado demasiado grueso y hecho, rozando al torrado y las que eran redondas sin casi relleno.
Al llegar a este punto y esperando las bravas preguntamos al camarero si las bravas podían estar poco hechas ya que los dos platos anteriores habían salido secos y con demasiado tiempo en freidora, nos dicen que así será
Las bravas, aunque no se veían tostadas resultaron ser insulsas, pastosas y secas. Muy poca cantitats. Parecían de bolsa congeladas. Muy poca cantidad ademas y Cortada raras. La salsa brava era similar a una romescu pero picant, ni las patatas ni la salsa tenía nada de bravas. las dejamos casi todas aunque era un bol pequeño y pedimos directamente la cuenta.
Al ver que casi no habíamos tocado las patatas y que ya pedíamos la cuenta nos preguntaron como había ido. Les comentamos, siempre educadamente y de buenas maneras, el problema con la comida. Fueron muy amables en palabras delante de nuestra queja. Pero no tuvieron ningún detalle ni que fueran los postres, una bebida.. algo! para que nos fueramos con mejor sabor de boca o con ganas de dar otra oportunidad que no tendrá. Sabe mal porqué fuimos recomendados y así se lo hicimos saber. Quizás les cogimos en un mal día.
