Es Racó de Na Marta — Restaurant in Tossa de Mar

Food is great and reasonably priced. In the evening the restaurant is popular and has lively vibe, even when other bars close by might be dead empty.

Though… I stayed in the hotel attached to the restaurant. In the morning I was sitting inside the bar and worked with my laptop, because it was totally empty and to be honest looked closed. After one hour the bar man comes to ask if I want something. I thanked and said I’m fine, but he kept staring me and my laptop with questioning look on his face. I asked if we have a problem? He kept rolling his eyes saying that “No, we don’t have any problem here!” I told him that I get it, he doesn’t want me to sit there and use the common space (at least that’s what I thought it is) of the hotel. I left back to my room, even if he kept saying ‘we don’t have any problem’. If he wanted to sell me something from his bar, he could’ve come to ask me an hour ago, when he saw me sitting down. I think this was very unnecessary gesture from him, and put the whole hotel and its bar to bad light. I have enjoyed their food and good service (until now) for two days, so I want to give a decent review, but not accept rude and unnecessary...

Superb value, chicken cooked to perfection. Lots of people popping in just to buy chicken to take away. We ordered 3 chicken and chips and one chicken with salad. We received 3 chicken with salad and one with chips so had to order another chips. Must say that after tasting the fresh salad that was the better option. Really quick service from start to finish. 4 meals and 4 drinks with extra chips €40, best value meal...

La realidad de este local es esta:

Comida aceptable y una buena ración, la realidad es que de eso no hay queja. El problema yace en la cuenta (en mi caso siempre suelo dejar propina generosa y esto a condicionado dicha propina a 0). En dicha cuenta encuentro que se me cobra +2.5 de alioli para el pollo a l’ast, cosa que no me parece mal, pero vamos, que igual que se ponía mayonesa y demás, ¿No se podía avisar de qué esto tenía un sobrecargo de la cuenta? Lo hubiera pagado igual (porque lo he pedido y lo quería), pero, ¿No puede avisar que esta salsa va a aparte y que yo valore este importe?

De nuevo en la cuenta, aparece un suplemento de 2.70 que nose a qué se refiere, pero ahí está, en la cuenta final.

Soy trabajador de hostelería, y me encuentro trabajando en el sector desde hace mucho tiempo, a jornada completa, es decir, que se de que hablo, y creo que a este comercio en especial no le interesa retener clientela que es volátil, sino únicamente tratar con especial cuidado a los clientes habituales que frecuentan el establecimiento. Una pena, porque la comida y porción estaba bien, pero engañar y aprovecharse no es una opción.
