Pizzeria da Nino — Restaurant in Tossa de Mar

I am not a Pizza person but after 10 hours travelling we were both tired and hungry and discovered this place by accident. We had to wait for a table as the place was so busy but this is no problem as there is a little bar next door which plays great music. After a short wait we were taking our seats when a lady leaving highly recommended the pizza's. Boy am I glad I did. One of best pizza's I've ever eaten. Excellent. But my partner had pasta which was not great. My recommendation is go for the pizza only. Staff friendly, serves wine and beer. Has usual facilities. Book in advance as there are always queues. I hope the pizza is good enough to justify this high review score because the seafood pasta was so overpriced for the quality of the ingredients. Frozen prawns and some clams for 21e when we just had more authentic Italian seafood pasta with grilled gambas and mussels in two separate Tossa restaurants for 12e and 18e with a view of the sea or castle. Feel absolutely robbed now. The price does not justify the quality of this restaurant and there are much better in Tossa. Staff were very friendly but overpriced for quality of pasta. This restaurant is somewhat of a hidden gem. While it's a bit off the beaten path, it somehow manages almost always to be full (so do expect a wait, especially around the late evening dinner rush). The pizzas they make are simply excellent, thin, have a good variety of ingredients, and come in a size that probably won't leave you hungry. Other parts of their menu are also quite worthwhile.
