The staff are lovely. However, as a 5* rating hotel and the amount of €€€ we have been charged for a 2 nights 3 days stay, a lot could’ve been improved as what we have experienced outweighs the good that the hotel has to offer. If you cant read item per item, here’s the summary: ITS NOT WORTH A FORTUNE and has a LONG WAY TO GO TO BE CALLED 5* PS: When we checked in on July 27, the excuse why the processing were so poor because they just opened a day ago. However, reviews were existing already months ahead of time. So even reviews are faked? 1. The check in was a nightmare! The worst experience in hotel check in’s i’ve had to deal with when it comes to travelling. We arrived at 2 pm at the location, there were no indications where the hotel parking was, and the area is extremely busy with rare chances to get any parking so we called the hotel multiple times for any guidance to no avail. After waiting for 20 mins for someone to come to us, we were escorted to the hotel designated parking which would only work once you already check in because they need to provide an access card, the distance although is 5 mins walk, it is extremely hot! 2. The hotel only seem to have 2 porters and 2 reception that day, the access to get into the hotel is very inconvenient as you wont even be able to get to the lobby without anybody tending to the door so when the porters were out and no staff notices you trying to get in, you’ll have to wait for a few mins which in my case (about 10 mins knocking over glass door), what happened 3. NO LUXARY HOTELS TAKES 2 HOURS of waiting - After getting in and expecting the check in to go smoothly, we were asked by the reception to seat in the lobby and have some Cava at the bar complimentary while waiting for them to check us in and have been told we will be called. An hour sat waiting and asking multiple other reception staff when we’ll be assisted as its already 4:30 pm (check in is 3 pm, we arrived at 2 pm) we were finally assisted. + the complimentary Cava we were told whilst asked to wait was also charged to us. 4. The parking was included on our booking confirmation, we were told we had to pay 50€. but the reception does not seem to see this on her system and have said she will have to check with the boss first. 5. The WiFi wasn’t given to us. No WiFi information anywhere. When we got it, it was barely working (extremely slow to a point where webpages times out) 6. TV has a netflix option / but not working. Chrome Cast also not working. Mirroring option is also not working. Also - TV turns on by itself every 2 hours so we had a sleepless night, since we also could not find the plug to unplug it. 7. The AC does not get lower than 23c. On top of this, there were no prior information that the AC will not work if there is a very little gap on the balcony door. While this is very cost effective, this information should be informed to the guest prior the check in. 8. We had to call room service middle of the night to ask for water and we’ve only been handed over a small bottle which could easily be avoided if the supplies are replenished during the scheduled house cleaning. 9. There were no tray of instant coffee or milk which usually are a given in any 5* hotel 10. No bins for rubbish, even in the toilet room. Overall experience with the location in itself is great. The hotel could just be improved in a whole lot of way as a lot are expected of a 5* hotel, specially with the cost it came with. There were many others in Spain i’ve stayed at that are not even labeled as 5* and yet, the stay has been by far more seamless than in here.

What’s good about the hotel: Breakfasts are pleasant, though by the second day I was already craving something different. The rooms are decent, and the spa is nice (though not exceptional). For me, that’s where the list of pros ends. What’s bad about the hotel: The price per night is not justified, and here’s why. The air conditioning doesn’t work — there’s no way to adjust the temperature. It gets too hot during the day and very cold at night. The hotel’s location is good in the sense that it’s close to the beach, BUT it’s also right next to several restaurants and bars that are extremely noisy. For example, it’s 10 PM now and loud music is playing. Throughout the night, people are screaming and shouting outside. On top of that, there is constant noise from motorbikes all night long — and this is no exaggeration. The sound of engines is often accompanied by people yelling and shouting loudly in the streets. To make matters worse, you cannot turn off the balcony light from your room — only hotel management can control it. So unless you specifically request them to turn it off (and hope they do), you’ll be trying to sleep with bright light shining into your room through the curtains. This is my second night here, and I haven’t been able to sleep at all. While the noise isn’t directly the hotel’s fault, a five-star hotel should have proper soundproof windows — but unfortunately, that’s not the case. You can hear everything. And since the air conditioning doesn’t work, you’re left with a choice: close the windows and have no fresh air, or open them and stay awake all night due to the noise. There are also no toothbrushes in the room. Overall, it’s boring here — there’s nothing to do. It feels like this place is designed for retirees, not for those looking for fun. CHOOSE A CHEAPER OPTION — DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

A real gem with a few hiccups. Our arrival wasn’t ideal. We drove from Barcelona and ended up stuck on a narrow road in the center of town with nowhere to park or unload. No signage, no valet, and the receptionist directed us to a nearby café for parking, not quite a 5-star welcome. Once we found the open-air parking, the lovely Noah helped with our luggage and walked us to the hotel. Still, I’d expect valet service or at least on-site check-in at this level. Our “luxury sea view” room turned out to have only a partial view, something that should be clarified during booking. That said, things improved significantly from there. The design of both the rooms and shared spaces is stunning. Easily among the best on the Costa Brava. The rooftop pool is a great place to unwind, and the staff there were kind and helpful. Prices were also very fair. The biggest highlight was the food. Chef Emma’s dishes far exceeded our expectations. We also had a great chat with Cristian, the maître d’, who went out of his way to make guests feel welcome and cared for. The dinner room still feels a bit like a repurposed breakfast area, but the quality of the food makes up for it. The spa was another standout: beautifully designed, with Finnish sauna, hammam, and hot/cold pools. You book it privately by the hour, which makes for a very peaceful experience. All in all, this hotel has huge potential and stands out among Costa Brava options. It’s not quite delivering a full 5-star luxury experience yet but it’s close. I’d recommend it for a weekend getaway if you’re not traveling from too far. For a longer stay, I’d wait until a few more things are smoothed out.

This hotel was centrally located and it was a great home base from which to explore beautiful Tossa and the environs. The room was fully adequate and the bed was very comfortable. Our deluxe sea view and balcony room did provide a view of the beach and the castle, however it does look across the primarily dry streambed and a beachside parking area and therefore detracts from the overall impression you get from the balcony. ||Please note that when you arrive, you will need to briefly park just off the narrow adjacent street and call reception or walk the wide pedestrian-only tiled pathway in front of the hotel (along the streambed) to the reception area. There you will be check-in, get your key cards and then use the card to unlock the gate of the parking lot, which is several blocks away. This is quite inconvenient and is not communicated prior to your visit. To compensate for this, the hotel's porter will be very helpful in taking you to the lot and carrying your luggage back to the hotel. If you have very heavy things, I suggest unloading and rolling them directly to the reception when you first begin check-in, otherwise the porter may not be able to transport them in one trip. They may suggest unloading them before going to the lot, but ours carried them the two blocks for us.||The breakfast was fabulous and the real highlight of the hotel. We loved the dining room, the interior courtyard and the comfortable seating. There was a made to order kitchen staff waiting to take your order in addition to other premade hot offerings, if you wanted something more than the large variety of typical meats, fruit and pastries. The Nespresso machines churned out very good coffee. The wait staff was extraordinarily efficient and helpful.||We had a great time at Elizabeth by the Sea. There may be nearby hotels offering better value, but Elizabeth was clean, quiet, comfortable, and accommodating. The staff was professional and the breakfast was one of the best of our...

Location superb, with modern seafront rooms and spectacular views of the castle and beachfront. Staff are excellent and do their best to make your stay an enjoyable one.||We felt that the 5🌟rating was not quite correct. A world class 5🌟hotel it is not sadly it fell short of this accolade. ||The Hammam & gym facilities were adequate but by no means luxurious. Cleanliness in the Hammam was poor.||The rooms had little space for storage. ||Replenishment of daily toiletries lacked.||Minor repairs were not dealt with in several areas. For example our bathroom door scraped along the floor and cleaner had been like this for a long time, we mentioned it, it was not rectified.||The balustrade in the stairwell is hanging off the wall - shame it’s a beautiful architectural feature. ||Parking is a hefty charge at €35 per day this we felt prohibitive especially if one is staying for a length of time as we did.| |We loved the roof terrace with its high end furniture and its panoramic views. We did not appreciate the incessant Ibiza style beat music that was played everyday, when all clients wanted was either peace, quiet and the sound of the sea or something more in keeping with a relaxing 5🌟 chill space. Many clients reverted to headphones to avoid the terrible noise. We asked each day to change to a relaxing music genre however were told it was not possible? Disappointing when you only had one week to enjoy a chilled relaxing holiday away from the stresses of everyday working life. ||I hope they can change this aspect for future clients? ||A lovely touch for the champagne on ice in our room on arrival! Thank you.||These comments are to aide a change and we hope the feedback is useful, we would definitely return and hope that we are able to see the improvements on things we have mentioned. We have recommended it to friends despite these comments, as overall it a lovely hotel with great staff and very...
