Bodegueta — Restaurant in Valencia

Well, where do I begin? La Bodegueta is potentially the best place I visited on my extended trip to Valencia. After being to some excellent restaurants with divine cuisine and drinks to die for, I knew I was missing something. That something is what La Bodegueta had. The service is immaculate - the smile I received was like the look a mother gives her first born. Despite the language barrier, as my Spanish is only partially fluent, we communicated enough for me and my two boys to receive an icey cold beer (only €2 - a bargain if I’ve ever seen one!). With the three icey cold beers we received a complimentary plate of salty, smooth, satisfying nuts. They kept us just on the verge of full, but not enough to stop us purchasing some mouth watering BOCADILLOS. My one little boy was especially hungry, and munched down a CALAMIDAD - in three whole bites, it was down, and with it came the most beautiful sight. I’ve never seen his eyes glimmer with so much joy - to say he was satisfied was an understatement. I may have babbled on, but it was worth it - don’t make the mistake of not coming here, but I would be careful, you better make a reservation - she sure...

My all time favorite tapas place. This is the best agua de Valencia that I have found (a pitcher for 2 people is €6 each). €2 beers, great tapas (the bravas are perfect), and WONDERFUL staff. My friends and I are frequenters 😌 heads up: it's pretty popular so you will want to get there early...

Acabamos de irnos por qué una camarera, suponemos que encargada o jefa nos ha empezado a atosigar porque estábamos esperando a 3 personas más, a todo esto consumiendo los otros 3 que estábamos y no poco,con que estábamos en la fase 1 y que no podíamos estar esperando 2horas a nuestros amigos porque quería la mesa. A todo esto le he dicho que también éramos hosteleros y que si se reserva y estamos consumiendo no tiene que venir se esas formas y esa prepotencia y mucho menos hablándonos así. Hemos cancelado el pedido de 2 cubatas que teníamos y nos hemos ido y aún nos han dicho que que ya los tenían preparados, obviamente nos hemos ido igual y les hemos dicho que nos estaban tratando mal. No volveremos y mucho menos lo recomendaremos....
