Restaurante Lima Madrigal — Restaurant in Valencia

We happened to be over in Patraix at an appointment and once finished, were walking back to the bus stop our stomachs growling and absolutely starving! Google maps said we could walk a few minutes and be sitting down at Lima Madrigal to enjoy some delicious Peruvian food so that’s what we did!

Despite turning up the minute their shutters went up and the doors opened (1300), they gave us a nice welcome and we were seated with some cancha to nibble on while they got the wok heated up. We ordered off the very reasonable (€11 for a first, second, a postre and a bebida) menu del dia and it was good. I had a steaming bowl of parihuela (Peruvian spicy seafood soup with mussels, fish, shrimp, crab and potato in a fantastic broth with ginger and cilantro, so comforting) and a plate of pollo a la brasa (beautiful seasoning and grill cook on the chicken) which came with chaufa and fries. My husband had an order of yucca frita and the broaster pollo which also came with chaufa and fries.

It was all really tasty and a good portion size for the price. The restaurant might not be super fancy, but the people are so nice, the welcome was there, the food was good, the beer cold and prices...

Despite its popularity with locals, our visit was extremely disappointing. We waited over 30 minutes without being served, and when the food finally came, it was awfulour "paella" was just plain rice with two tiny shrimp. The waiter was rude and increased the bill above the listed menu price without a reasonable explanation.

Quizá no sea el sitio más bonito del mundo, pero es un sitio humilde donde están empezando lleno de buena armonía he ido en 3 ocasiones y siempre nos han atendido bien, hoy nos ha atendido un chico con gorra negra que a pesar de no tener experiencia le echa muchísimas ganas, mucho empeño y con su simpatía pronto será una máquina atendiendo, le pega mil vueltas a otros camareros prepotentes y ahí es donde uno se da cuenta de la calidad de personas, la chica no hemos podido cruzar palabra y el otro señor la otra vez nos atendió y muy amable también. La comida ceviche carretillero muy bueno, mounstrito bueno, las únicas pegas para mi gusto sería la jalea, el picante para acompañar las comidas dan rocoto y no siento que el rocoto sea un ají de acompañamiento sino que está licuado para ceviche y el pescado con alubias que comí también anteriormente han sido las cosas que no me han agradado, la tarta de 3 leches buenísima, papa rellena bien y lomo saltado bueno.
