Overall I give 5 stars for it, however the food is 4 stars. The food was very nice, I went to the restaurant alone, so I couldn’t try many things especially paella. I ordered Padrón pepper which is so good and sweet. I also ordered the shrimps/prawns platter which is nice. However, it was slightly undercooked. I thought it was the way how Spanish people eat, so I didn’t send back or tell the waitress. But I just read a review from another customer who wrote the same comment too. Especially the red prawns, maybe they were red already so it wasn’t easy to know whether they are cooked or not.
The homemade cheesecake was fabulous, I enjoyed very much!! The waitress with pink hair was very friendly and attentive!! She even helped me to take a picture with my food! 😃
The cava was nice too! Overall, I enjoyed the dinner very much! It doesn’t seem like a touristy restaurant as it is in residential area, although English menu is available. The price is very valuable & inexpensive considering the size of dish! The portion of Padrón pepper is huge!! I will definitely go back there again when I go to Valencia...
Read moreI stopped in craving for something a bit more on the adventurous side of my pallet. Ordering the Ortiguillas Fritas I was not disappointed! Served piping hot and perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside, gelatinous on the inside, and noticeably fresh, I was pleasantly surprised by this Andalusian delicacy and its expert preparation. With it I ordered some basic grilled vegetables but I have to say they’re probably the best quality I’ve had since I came to Valencia a month ago. You can tell from sourcing to preparation that there is deep care that goes into the food here. The man whom served me, Jose, was perfectly professional, kind, fast, attentive, as well as so patient with me as I stumbled through my very new Spanish skills. I wouldn’t call the place inexpensive as it was easy for me to spend 40€ pp but for the experience the price is more than reasonable. My literal only gripe is that the lighting is a bit harsh for such an intimate dinner restaurant. But all in all, this place is so good that I can already tell it’s going to be dangerous habit...
Read moreOur tour group stayed at the Eurostars Acteon hotel just one block away. My wife and I really craved for a good paella so I looked up and found this one. Several other people on the tour also wanted to join. It was a little challenging (no one really spoke Spanish well) going over the menu and ordering food for our table of seven and finally settled on having seafood paella plus some other tapas. It meant that we all had to order the same paella for the entire table. I could tell some agreed a little reluctantly. When the paella came, took two waitresses to carry the pan over to our table, everyone’s jaw just dropped and eyes lit up. It was the best paella, HANDS DOWN, we all have ever tasted. It was a very large pan, covered almost the whole table, with plenty of seafood ingredients. The rice was cooked PERFECTLY and had soaked in all the good juices, the bottom had some crispy rice too. It was sooooo good! We all talked about it even days later. I will always remember...
