Went here for dinner tonight after reading all the positive reviews but wish we hadn’t unfortunately. We started with what we thought reading the menu description was ‘nachos’ but the dish that arrived was deep fried cheese filled pastry with a bbq dip, nothing like the menu description? The mains we both ordered burgers, we asked for them to be bien heche (well done) but when they arrived both were totally raw with just the outer area cooked. Hated doing it but had to ask for them to be cooked further. When they came back, my Big Jack burger which went to the kitchen as a double burger came back as a single?! I’d asked for no tomato and the tomato from my husbands burger (now absent) had jumped onto my burger, both were STILL raw and the chips had now gone cold! The waiter was lovely and he did knock off the price of my burger from the bill without being asked. The photo is from the 2nd time it had been to the kitchen to be well cooked!

The best cod and chips in Vera Playa! The portion sizes are huge, and the cod tastes so fresh and authentic — perfectly crispy on the outside and flaky inside. The servers are incredibly friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. If you’re feeling nostalgic and fancy some proper cod and chips on a Thursday night, definitely visit La Bella Gastro You won’t be disappointed!

Si estás dudando a qué sitio ir en Vera, este es. Qué variedad y qué calidad! Nos han sorprendido mucho, a pesar de la heterogeneidad de la carta (desde almejas hasta hamburguesas con Lotus) trabajan estupendamente cada uno de los platos y los diferentes estilos de cocina. Barato encima, hemos comido tres personas hasta acabar llenos, por 45€. Los platos italianos, muy bien cocinados y exquisitos de sabor, se nota que la cocinera tiene mucha experiencia, tal y como nos comentaron. He de decir que he pedido algunas especificaciones en mi pedido (salsas apartes, ensalada en vez de patatas, aderezo aparte) y las han cumplido todas. En cuanto al dueño, se le ve un hombre muy trabajador, que está en todo, siempre el primero, y cuida a cada cliente como si el negocio le fuera en ello, porque le va, y da gusto ser tan bien atendido. Decir que hacía un poco de calor, y el se ha encargado de ponernos en un buen sitio y con ventilador para nosotros. Se agradece muchísimo ir a un sitio a comer con un trato tan excelente. Totalmente recomendable!

If you visit for fish & chips special on a Thursday do not expect battered Cod, no matter how many waiters inform you that is what you will be served. It is Dogfish / Huss / Rock Salmon /cazón / galludo / doornhaai / chien de mer / Dornhai. The meal was OK and I enjoyed my battered Dogfish which I have caught cooked and eaten myself, but the fact I was basically repeatedly lied too I found very disappointing. We came to this amazing food place on our first night of our holiday. Menu was big enough and the selection of burgers was excellent. Staff were extremely attentive and friendly and the food was delicious! I tried the lamb burger that was accompanied with homemade chips! The burger was great and the chips a real highlight.
