Armony Beach Club — Restaurant in Vera

I appreciate there are other good reviews of this place but I can only speak from personal experience, which was, to be frank, dreadful. Four of us went in this afternoon intending to eat & have a couple of drinks. After finally managing to get the waiter's attention after around 20 minutes, having been ignored several times, we managed to order some drinks and asked for menus. Eventually, the drinks arrived but no menus. We asked for menus again however they failed to materialise. Meanwhile, other people came in and were served, both food and tapas with their drinks, we were not given menus or tapas. We attempted to flag the waiter but were again, ignored. After around an hour we finished our drinks, and, still not having received any menus decided we would leave and eat somewhere else. We flagged the waiter for the bill, which surprisingly came quickly, and left. While paying the bill, we mentioned that we had requested menus, there was no apology forthcoming, just blank indifference. I can only assume that either, they were short-staffed and had forgotten about us, although there was no remorse shown, or they don't like the English, however we were polite and respectful and made an attempt to converse in Spanish so I'm afraid I don't understand why we experienced such a poor level of service. We are all very agreeable, patient and not at all demanding, so I can only conclude that an establishment that is trying to sell food and drink and that relies on good service is either incompetent or indifferent. Very good beach bar and location / facilities. A great venue to chill out with friends having a few drinks, which come with a small tapa accompaniment, it has a very relaxed and friendly vibe. Had an extended afternoon with friends this week at the bar and Edgar did a great job looking after us with his attentive and friendly service. This bar has a pool and sun bathing area and is located opposite the beach so has a sea view from the leisure area. Really lovely place!! We came here a few times during our holiday and were extremely impressed by the delicious food, beer and top class service! Definitely worth coming here if you're in the area. The pool is lovely and chilled out, the place is lovely and clean and the people are super kind and accommodating! Really loved the amount of veggie dishes on offer, it's definitely a unique selling point of the restraunt as not many others offer food for vegetarians to this extent.
