Bar/Restaurante Moncho Xàtiva — Restaurant in Xàtiva

Following the restaurants opening times I today attended the place at 7pm. According to the google info it is open all day, every day, however this is not totally correct. The kitchen opens for lunch and the closes until 8.30 pm. Yes I appreciate that is norm for around here but other restaurants tell you this. I travelled into town for an early dinner but had to settle for some wine and nibbles!!

As for the service very good and the waiters were very helpful. The guy that seemed to be in charge might want to take a course on people management. Or do the Spaniards work better when barked at?

We will return I suspect in order to taste the food. The wine they served was more than acceptable and their prices...

The service here is some of the worst I’ve experienced in Xátiva. I went, yesterday, for a cold beer with friends. This was probably my fourth time at Moncho, and each time the service was poor. We waited more than 20 minutes to be served one beer. We would have gladly paid for more, but the waiter didn’t seem to want our money.

Its a shame about this place because it’s in a great location and I would go there often, if only it was a place that cared for it’s clientele.

Necesitábamos solo un par de cosas de cena para nuestras hijas: una tortilla francesa de dos huevos y una pechuga de pollo empanada, sin patatas fritas, solo un trozo de pechuga empanada, ya que nuestra hija no se las come. Pues nos trajeron el plato de pechuga con patatas fritas y nos cobraron 8€ pero es que por la tortilla nos cobraron 6€ (3€ por huevo!!). Además, ni mantel en la mesa, cuando había otras mesas que sí lo tenían. Al parecer, no les merece el mismo rigor una cena de niños que una de adultos. En cuanto a la limpieza, el local estaba descuidado por dentro y los aseos estaban sucísimos: sin papel higiénico, con el suelo mojado, sin jabón para lavarse las manos... No lo recomendamos en absoluto. Nosotros, desde luego, no volveremos. Sólo añadir a modo de contestación a la respuesta a nuestro comentario por parte del restaurante, que nosotros acudimos a cenar a las 20.00 y sólo había cuatro mesas ocupadas. En cualquier caso, es de entender que un restaurante organiza la plantilla en función al volumen de trabajo que tiene. Sea como sea y cómo usted dice, cada uno decide en libertad si el precio es caro o el sitio merece ser visitado. Esta reseña está puesta para ayudar a los posibles clientes a decidir dónde ir a comer y creo que su respuesta avala...
