Il Padrino Due — Restaurant in Xàtiva

I had fabulous meal of the day. Fish with a little extra. Family also had good food. Service was very good. Recommended.

I had a second visit here on 30/06/2022. With 3 other adult family members. We where all very disappointed in the starter of scrambled egg with garlic prawns. It came with what we thought where a mixture of green veg we all thought they where chopped up spring onions of about 25mm long. Might have been better with chopped chives. The prawns where so small as to be classified as shrimps in UK. Some prawns where raw. No one completely ate the dish as presented. Main course for 3 was a lasagna. It was virtually just pasta with minced meat and a small amount of sauce. It appeared to be over cooked. There was no garlic, no peppers no onion. Nothing to make a tasty lasagna. So basic. So poor. I had the merluza with a sauce that was overly flavoured for this type of fish. It came with small deep fried potatoes(overcooked) & a token veg offering of 3 strips of fried veg. Red pepper, cucumber, aubergine. 1 slice of each. Just a decoration. The best part was the sweet. We had two types of ice cream. That was nice but small. Cost for meal of the day was €15 each. I cannot now recommend this venue as a good food purveyor or for value for money. Food was abysmal. Service was slow. Not for me to visit again. We left and went to MaccyD's, for something to eat. 4 meals for us came to €22 there. (medium fries, double cheeseburger and...

Such a hidden gem. We came in for lunch and got offered a la carte or the daily menu. We went for the 3 course lunch menu which still offers a lot of choice. It was also surprisingly cheap (15 euro per person).

We were seated in the interior 'garden' which was simply lovely. Service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff and the food was lovely. My favourite was the hummus with fried eggplant starter, but all dishes were very good.

The restaurant was full with Spanish locals and I'm not surprised, such a lovely place.

This was our first time here. We choose the menu of the day. The starter was a delicious and fresh tuna ensalada, the portion was incredibly generous and it came with crispy mini sticks to absorb the tuna, potato and mayonnaise. I had the four season pizza and my partner had a tuna so we shared slices. The toppings are generous and the pizza dough thin and crisp. We were to full to have dessert or coffees.
