I only post when the restaurant is super top or I have a bad experience. I’ve been going to Chabada for 3 months spending an average of 150 euros a week as I go 3-4 times at least. The food is always good and the service likewise.
Unfortunately this week I went and I forgot my bank cards and I don’t have Apple Pay. This is my fault and it was already embarrassing for me. I asked to see the manager and this is when it all went wrong. My bill was €12.75 and I explained I would come back the following day and promised sincerely. He would not allow me to leave unless I left something of value. I had an expensive watch, my phone and my car keys all of which I was not prepared to leave. After trying to convince him for 10 minutes that I would be back the next day he would not let it go for €12.75 and give someone the benefit of the doubt after being a patron for 3 months. In the end I had to leave promising him I would be back the next day. However on the way out he accosted me grabbing my arm which is assault.
The following day I went back as promised to pay my bill of €12.75. The small minded manager then told me he did not want the money and I was now banned from coming ever again to the restaurant. He is just one of those people and I don’t need to say more.
So in conclusion this manager has now lost a good paying patron for the owners, accosted me and was that small minded he would not accept payment for the bill no matter how much I insisted I wanted to pay banning me at the same time. The restaurant is good however his behaviour is appalling. Again, my fault for forgetting my wallet however what ensued was a disgrace.

I experienced food poisoning after consuming garlic shrimp tapas. Instead of promptly acknowledging the issue, the staff defended themselves and offered various excuses.
Despite having no shrimp allergy and having consumed shrimp the day before without issue (a regular part of my diet), I had an adverse reaction to the garlic shrimp tapas. My entire body began itching, resembling a widespread bee sting. Additionally, the club sandwich, which was previously served differently during my first visit, was unsatisfactory. This time, it consisted of grilled sandwiches with chicken, melted cheese, bacon, and a Caesar salad on the side—not a traditional club sandwich.
In response to your previous reply, I want to clarify that both a certified nurse and my house doctor asserted that my symptoms were a result of a poorly handled plate, not my immune system. It's disconcerting that the establishment altered the traditional club sandwich within a short span of three days and consistently provided excuses instead of accepting responsibility.

Read moreThe staff here should be entirely ashamed of themselves. 2 guests were completely drunk, both urinated down themselves at the table, followed by the female guest falling & cracking her head open. Staff were completely unfussed, laughing & watching offering no assistance - letting another paying customer finally assist them in leaving, & preventing them falling on tables & children. Staff still laughing & offering no assistance. Service was horrendous - staff completely unequipped to deal with any situation. Received 3 drinks on time then had to reorder the other 2 remaining drinks another 3 times before they arrived waiting half an hour until all 5 of us had received drinks. Upon saying we will not be paying for 2 of the drinks due to the wait we were told we had to, even when speaking to an English member of staff explaining the situation & being told “we could have moved if we wanted too”, we weren’t offered to move even when both drunk guests were quite literally urinating down themselves.
