After 2 years trying to visit this restaurant and always been fully booked we finally managed to get a table at 21:30. On the website it said only tables Inside available so we choose the only option. On arrival the terrace was 10% full so we asked if we could seat outside and the response was simply NO , we are fully booked . That was OK, so we seat inside , in an empty room . We order a few starters and 2 mains , the starters arrived Croquetas from jamon iberico was lumpy inside, luck warm, and not enough flavour, canarian potatoes luck warm , nice potatoes but Mojos wasn't the best I've tried, and finally steak tartare, when the starters arrived I automatically asked the waitress for tabasco for my steak Tartare, unfortunately waited over 10 minutes and managed to flagged a waiter that was passing by chance, but by this point my partner had already finished, so Not Ideal ! The service in that room wasn't good , you had constantly try to flag a waiter that it was passing from the outside of the terrace to inside. The waiters seem to be robots, only coming to deliver or take, not a smile, a chat or is yoyr first time with us, very cold service .
Mains arrived, bothe Mains luck warm! The lamb was really tasty but again luck warm, please when you are serving a Main or a stater that should be hot please make sure IT IS before it leaves your kitchen . Desserts was very nice . Asked for the bill, paid and leaving we notice that the terrace still 50% empty, so we asked the waitress that seat me originally why I could have a table outdoor when she said was full, her response was, we've been told to place tables evenly across the inside and outside. We don't think that this place is the foodies heaven that they appear to be, so suddenly we won't...
Read morePlease do not go here unless you want to be ripped off. They have 2 different menus, one for the foreigners which is very limited and expensive, you have to use a QR code to read it and a different menu for the locals. Seeing different options for the tables with Spanish people I asked the waitress why they didn't tell us about the other dishes in the restaurant, she didn't seem to have an answer for us, when I asked to talk to the manager he shamelessly lied with excuses. It was a horrible experience as our expectations were high after reading other reviews, I wanted to treat my husband and our little boy and nearly ended up in tears with the awful way we were treated. The manager to whom I complaint (who is also the owner) was rude and disrespectful. The food was nicely presented but was average, the waiters were pleasant but I could tell they were under the pressure of not offering the real menu to the target victims (the foreigners), the local wine you really have to beg for it as they only want to sell you the expensive ones. Horrible day, horrible experience, average food, expensive bill. Luckily I did get the local wine I wanted, I was strong enough to not let them put me off it. Do not go to this place, do your research, there are plenty of authentic restaurants in Lanzarote with nice people running them who serve you with a smile and offer you really...
Read moreMyself and my family wanted to try some authentic local food, so we drove inland to Yaiza one evening. We stopped here because it has outside seating and it looked popular with locals judging by the people sat outside. It also looked sort of friendly in a quaint rustic, unpretentious way and it has parking. First the staff wouldn't us wouldn't let us sit outside, though it was hot and there were several empty tables. Their english was very basic and their manner made us uncomfortable, as though we were an unimportant inconvenience. Next they placed us at the back of a small empty room, with monastic music playing, and they left us with menus for what appeared to be a long time. Frankly I think they just wanted us to go, so we did. I can't work out exactly why they played us this way. This place is obviously popular among the locals, so maybe they don't want tourists. Perhaps its not family friendly, I can't recall seeing any children there that evening. Or perhaps it thinks of itself as some sort of fine dining establishment? Well I can't comment on the food, but the establishment doesn't look refined enough to carry that off (by world standards). So watch out if you are a tourist or...
