TL;DR: go at all cost! Which, luckily, is not that steep: for the amazing quality of food, atmosphere and service the price tag is absolutely fair and in line with the other tourist restaurants even in the coastal towns. I have eaten much worse for a much higher price. As a starter I recommend the fried cheese with Lanzarote tomato jam. I myself had the best pork of my life - crispy all around and yet tender - and my company both chose the chicken supreme. They were as happy as I was. And on top of excellent food comes the unique, lovingly curated atmosphere: the cutest Bodega room you could imagine; the art absolutely befitting of the place which is covered, both inside and outside, with walls of exposed brick. A true little gem has been created there, and the waiters are absolutely welcoming. You won’t regret any cent you’re spending there. I am fascinated by this place and will go for a third dinner there before my holidays are over (worth every minute of the 30min drive down there). I love the place and the truly unique atmosphere - this is a recommendation without any...
Read moreWe recently had a family lunch at this restaurant, and overall, it was a pleasant experience.
For starters, we ordered cheese croquettes and grilled cheese. The grilled cheese was good, though it would have been better if it were served as four smaller pieces instead of one large one. It was also slightly cold. The cheese croquettes, on the other hand, were excellent—very creamy and flavorful.
For the main course, we tried the millefoglie with tomatoes, which is essentially a caprese salad, and the Angus beef steak with a reduced sauce topped with foie gras. The steak was well-cooked (medium), though I had requested medium-rare. Nevertheless, it was tender and paired well with the sauce, while the foie gras added creaminess and elevated the flavor.
For dessert, we had a banana mousse. The banana flavor was strong, complemented by walnuts that added a bit of texture. It was quite rich, but enjoyable.
The ambiance was cozy, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Overall, it was a lovely meal, and I would...
Read moreLuckily we found this (for us) hidden gem in Yaiza, since two other restaurants were closed.
The restaurant is rather small but furnished beautifully and you just enter the room and feel warm and welcome. The service is excellent, attentive and really nice and you get all the information about daily dishes not written on the menu by talk.
Speaking of the menu: The selection is not too big but you will find something for you with no problem. And the owner offers translated menus at least in german, italian, english and spanish of course. We had a starter, main dish (meat and fish) which both were excellent, and a dessert which just topped of the whole evening.
This place is really awesome and in case we would ever come back to Lanzarote we would definitely stop by again! Thanks for the great time and...
