I had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at Orange Beach Kitchen at Dewata Junction! From the moment I walked in, the friendly and welcoming atmosphere made me feel right at home. The staff, especially Mr. Harshana Vibuthi, went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. He served our table with a warm smile and cheerful greetings, making the experience even more special. The level of hospitality here truly stands out, and it’s one of the reasons I’ll be coming back again and again.
Now, let’s talk about the food – 10/10! The Chicken Kottu is a must-try: spicy, flavorful, and made with juicy, well-marinated chicken. The aroma of their chicken and mixed fried rice still lingers in my mind – simply unforgettable. For those who love bold flavors, the Devilled Chicken, Devilled Pork, and Devilled Beef are a real treat. And don’t miss out on the Hot Batter Mushroom and Hot Batter Calamari – they’re absolutely delicious and guaranteed to impress.
As a BYOB restaurant, there's no corkage fee, and they’ll take care of everything for you! They'll even provide chilled beer glasses, ice buckets, and whatever else you need to enjoy your drinks. It’s the perfect spot for any occasion – whether you’re hanging out with friends for a beer, having a romantic dinner with a loved one, or hosting a family gathering. They really have it all!
I also have to mention the live Calypso band that adds to the vibrant atmosphere, making the evening even more enjoyable.
A big thank you to Mr. Harshana, the rest of the staff, and the talented chefs who work their magic in the kitchen. If you're looking for an amazing place to eat, relax, and enjoy some good company, I highly recommend Orange Beach Kitchen at Dewata Junction! You won’t be...
Read moreThe Orange Beach Kitchen is in a nice location, very close to the beach, which gives it a pleasant vibe. However, the upstairs restaurant area could be cleaner. The chairs were a bit dusty, possibly because it's also close to the main road. It would be helpful if they added a hand wash area near the upstairs sink -just a small suggestion for a better customer experience.
As for the food, the prices are reasonable and not too expensive. Portions are actually bigger than expected. Even though they say it's a single portion, one dish is more than enough for two people. So, it’s better not to order separate portions and end up wasting food or money.
We ordered passion fruit juice, which was really good and worth the price. However, we were quite disappointed with the food. We tried the seafood kottu and nasi goreng with chicken. They both looked nice but didn’t taste as good. The nasi goreng had a strong curry powder taste and didn’t meet our expectations at all we wouldn’t recommend it. The seafood kottu was slightly better, but it mostly had cuttlefish. Since it’s called “seafood” kottu, we expected more variety.
Based on our experience, we would rate the passion fruit juice 5/10, kottu 5/10 and the nasi goreng 2/10.
One more thing to note , there was no mention of a 3% fee for card payments, but it was still added to our bill ( 4760+3%= 4902/=) . It’s not a huge issue, but it would be better if this were communicated to customers in advance. It's more...
Read moreI recently visited Orange Beach Kitchen and had a very disappointing experience. We ordered 3 portions of seafood nasi, 3 portions of mixed fried rice, and 1 portion of hot butter cuttlefish. Despite there being no crowd, it took over an hour to get our food, and we had to ask multiple times about our order. They kept telling us it was a busy day, but it was clear the restaurant wasn't full.
To make things worse, the hot butter cuttlefish was brought after we had already finished the rest of our meal. The food itself was bland and lacked flavor—it was simply not enjoyable. Some of the staff also had a bad attitude, and despite having enough people working, they seemed to struggle with managing the service.
On top of all this, they charged an extra 3% for payments made by credit or debit card, which, according to Central Bank regulations, should be borne by the merchant, not the customer. This is an unfair and misleading practice.
To the owner: please train your staff on customer service and fix your kitchen's quality. Also, follow the correct payment regulations. If things don’t improve, I don’t see this business lasting much longer.
I do not recommend this...
