The wheels on our car spin and spin, as we drive like a pair of detectives on a mission. Our destination? The one and only Deltanos pizzeria. We pull up, and I can practically smell the delicious scent of warm, cheesy goodness wafting through the air.

We stride inside, feeling like we're on a top-secret mission. The staff greets us with big smiles and even bigger personalities. They're like a group of superheroes, ready to serve up the best pizza in town.

We order our drinks, and I can practically taste the sweet, refreshing peach flavor in my ice tea. And the virgin passion? Oh, it's like drinking a glass of pure joy.

But the real star of the show? The pizza. It's like a symphony of flavors, each note perfectly timed to hit my taste buds just right. The crust is crispy and perfectly charred, the sauce tangy and savory, and the toppings are like a party in my mouth.

As we eat, I can feel the stresses of the world melting away. It's like I'm transported to a different universe, one where pizza and good company are all that matter.

And you know what? I'll be returning here again and again. Because great food is one thing, but great staff? That's something else entirely. They make you feel like part of the family, like you're coming home after a long journey.

A Taste of Italy in Mirissa: DelTanos Delivers Perfection!

After a month-long Sri Lankan adventure filled with mostly delicious rice and curry, our family of four (including our adventurous 10-year-old) decided it was time for a change. Though previous attempts at Italian cuisine in Sri Lanka had left us underwhelmed, the glowing reviews of DelTano's—conveniently located just off Mirissa’s main road—convinced us to take the plunge.

From the first bite of our starters, paired with refreshing juices and iced tea, we knew we were in for something special. The mains only confirmed our suspicions. We ordered three pizzas: a rich Bolognese, a fragrant seafood pesto, and—in a playful rebellion against pizza purists—a pineapple pizza(because why not?). Each one was a masterpiece, with a perfectly crisp crust, bold flavors, and fresh ingredients. As seasoned travelers and picky eaters, we were genuinely impressed—this was Italian food done right.

Our host, Chameera, elevated the experience with his patience, knowledge, and professionalism, answering all our questions with a smile. The service was swift, and the atmosphere welcoming. By the end of the meal, we were already planning our return—"same time tomorrow" we all said as we stood...

One of the best holiday restaurants I have ever been to.

The whole family and I had a very good dinner here. Excellent service, which immediately enchanted us with its openness and willingness to help. They took great care of our children and suggested dishes. Everything was very tasty (really, pizza is a WORLD class). Local dishes, as well as spaghetti were also very good. Our waiter Mr. Sanath was very nice and knew what to ask or do and when to do it.

The restaurant itself is located on the main road, but it is well soundproofed and air-conditioned. Interestingly and neatly furnished. We were in the pre-Christmas period - the waiters and the decoration of the dishes was a nice addition, which pleased us, especially the children. Check how nice is the wood fired oven and ask waiter why the pizza has such an incredible taste.

One of the best options in Mirissa, but also world class when it comes to restaurants of this type. I would like all the holiday restaurants to be like this one. I'm sure we'll go back there again and I can certainly recommend this restaurant...
