Our Favorite Restaurant in All of Sri Lanka – A True Gem in Mirissa

We had the absolute pleasure of discovering this lovely Roti place during our stay in Mirissa, and it quickly became our favorite spot in the entire country – and that’s after nearly a month of traveling through Sri Lanka.

The owner and her wonderful team welcomed us with such warmth and kindness that we instantly felt at home. We returned several times not only for the amazing food, but also for the lovely conversations and the truly special atmosphere.

Every single dish we tried was excellent – fresh, flavorful, and made with care. The chocolate roti as dessert was simply unforgettable!

We also rented a scooter from them and had a great experience. Everything was handled with honesty and trust – we can wholeheartedly recommend it.

We are truly grateful for everything and wish the restaurant and its amazing team all the best and much success for the future. We’re already looking forward to coming back one day. It was a place that touched us deeply, not just because of the food, but because of the story and the people behind it.

Very fair prices, wonderful energy – we can’t wait to see how this beautiful restaurant will...

Great Food and Service, But a Missed Opportunity for Inclusivity

I had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant during my 3-day stay in Mirissa, and I must say, the food is fantastic. Every dish I tried was bursting with flavor, and the service was equally impressive. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always ready to make your dining experience enjoyable.

What stood out to me was the welcoming atmosphere they create, particularly how the staff engages with guests. The owner, however, left me with mixed feelings. While she made a point to ask foreign guests about their experience, I noticed she seemed to ignore local customers, often making dismissive faces when they were around. It’s a shame, because the food and service here are top-notch, and a little more inclusivity could make this place truly exceptional.

Overall, I’d still recommend the restaurant for its delicious food and attentive staff, but I hope the owner works on making all guests feel...

This restaurant was recommended to us and we really liked it. The staff are always very friendly and the food is constantly good. We went for breakfast and also for lunch a couple of times. The fresh fruit juices are very nice too! The prices are good considering how popular this place is. Obviously not as cheap as a little 'locals' place, but for a tourist restaurant it's very well priced. Good for families with kids too as there are lots of child friendly food options so they are bound to see something that they will want to eat. Everytime we went it was always busy, so they have built a good reputation. It's well deserved. You certainly won't be disappointed. The breakfasts were really good. We also enjoyed the avocado, tomato and cheese roti, the banana and honey roti is fantastic! The kotu here is also very good (not stodgy and heavy like many other places)! No wonder this place is so popular. Great tasting, freshly made food at a very...

I had the pleasure of dining at this incredible Sri Lankan restaurant, and it was an experience to remember. Their roti, filled with a delightful mix of vegetables, tender chicken, egg, and cheese, was an absolute treat. Each bite was bursting with flavor, and the combination of ingredients was perfectly balanced, making it a must-try dish. Moreover, their traditional Sri Lankan rice and curry dish was a true highlight. The richness of the spices and the depth of the flavors were simply outstanding. Each component, from the fragrant rice to the hearty curries, came together in a symphony of taste that transported me straight to Sri Lanka. The ambiance of the restaurant complemented the food beautifully, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The service was impeccable, with staff who were both knowledgeable and passionate about their cuisine. If you're looking to embark on a culinary adventure, this Sri Lankan gem is the place to be. Highly recommended!
