Baan Thai — Restaurant in Göteborgs Stad

My husband had Pad Thai with chicken while I opted for Rice noodles with tofu and veggies. The vegetarian noodles with crunchy veggies had a slightly sweeter flavour coz of the sauce it was tossed in. Taste wise it was delicious. The husband mentioned chicken pad Thai tasted good too. They do have 2-3 sauces on the side to dip your rice/noodles. I loved the chilli oil sauce. The service was quick. It’s a cosy place with limited seating. Over had a good experience. We bought a couple of chicken Pad Thai and fried rice as a takeaway there tonight and, I am sorry to say, it was the worst tasting Thai food I ever had. Maybe the chef had a bad day (or was on a vacation), but we could not even finish the food. The Pad Thai sauce tasted like washing soap a the chicken...

The food is really delicious and the staff was nice. I had the shrimp with cashew nuts (number 15 on the menu) and it was amazing. Very good portion, you can share with another person. It was 115 kr and was worth it. They have a small space to site inside but outside is possible as well...
