Doori Korean Fried Chicken — Restaurant in Helsingborgs kommun

Korean here! Just found this place and noticed they do delivery on foodora so I gave it a go. It’s my first time trying out the food here and taste wise it’s pretty good. Happy that there’s more korean food available and seems like the owners are super friendly and diligent as well.

But for an honest review, giving it only 3 stars because of the price. This picture is the 620kr chicken set for 4 people….I understand inflation, the prices get bumped up with being in Scandinavia and employee wages but still…620kr for 4 cans of coke some pickled onions and rice and chicken which mounts up to the size of probably 4-5 boneless chicken thighs max is really pricey. Definitely not expecting Korean prices but this is way too expensive!! Just to give a clear understanding of the chicken bit sizes, they’re equivalent to the chicken cubes you normally get when you order chicken curry in indian places. So not that big-finger food size. But maybe people don’t eat a lot here in Sweden (we’re still hungry haha) that’s why the portion is small but the prices are really too much! Maybe others are okay paying this price though. I was in Helsingborg for a business trip and was looking for a spot to eat. Luckily I decided on Doori. First of, the service is excellent. Even if you have no clue about korean food, you will get an explanation on what these dishes are. After asking for the recommendation I decided on the korean fried chicken and korean style dumplings. The fried chicken came with a side of rice and was still nice and crispy even though it was covered in sauce. The sauce was not too spicy, maybe because I've been recommended the medium one, which was a good choice. The dumplings had a nice crispy exterior aswell, but the inside was filled with juicy, tasty chicken meat. My meal came with a side of pickled radish and a dipping sauce for the dumplings. Having decided against the usual drink selection (soft drinks/alcoholicbeverage), I got a bottle of water without asking. Overall the meal was a pleasent experience and it was very filling....

Doori Kitchen is a fantastic spot that brings the taste of Korea right to Helsingborg. We tried the Korean fried chicken, chicken mayo, cheese dumplings and mandoo – and every dish was an absolute winner!

The Korean fried chicken was crispy, juicy and we loved the sauces that came along. The chicken mayo was rich, flavourful, and incredibly satisfying – a great twist on comfort food. The dumplings were fresh and very delicious.

The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, and Hira at the reception is very welcoming, friendly, and helped us with menu recommendations. You can really feel the care that goes into both the food and the service.
