Möllan Curry — Restaurant in Malmö kommun

We looked at the reviews on here before going, and we do not understand how this restaurant got good reviews. The food was not good. Very, very sweet which overpowered any spices. We have been to many Indian restaurants and this was not good. The chicken was dry, not tender cut in dry blocks and the sauce was so thin, it looked nothing like a creamy curry. The use of artificial food colouring was over the top. The naan was pillowy but had no taste and was under baked. The toilet! Looked and smelled like one in a night club - to the point we were happy we didn’t get food poisoning the day after, fearing the kitchen had the same hygiene level as the toilet. The staff was friendly though! They could do good I’m sure, but we were SO disappointed. Use better quality ingredients and less artificial colouring and sugar, and get a better cook! Clean up the toilet (the graffiti too). Find the motivation to make a real effort again, which I’m sure you did at some point since you have a fine rating. But for now, we unfortunately wouldn’t...

The service was kind, but the food is just okay. Waitress was warning me for ordering Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi because it was marked as "stark/strong" that it would be spicy, but I found it pretty mild. The flavours are strong/spicy for people who are not used to spicy food, but if you want more of an authentic taste to your food, there are better Indian restaurants in Malmö. Sadly they didn't have Pani Puri which I was looking forward to, maybe that would've been a bit more...
