Cizgara Kolgrill – Årsta — Restaurant in Stockholm

Izgara has been around in Årsta for about 3 years now and has become one of the best restaurants in the neigjbourhood.

The menu offers a variety of dishes from turkey, but also pastas and pizzas. I wouldnt buy any of their pastas or pizzas, not because they are bad, but because their turkish dishes are so good that it would be a waste of money if you spent it on that.

Swedish kebab is often a sad story, but izgara offers another take on it with its different dönerkebabs and sauces.

Izgara is a charcoalgrill restaurant and therefore their grilled plates are the ones you should try. The adana kebab and the mixed grill are both fantastic dishes with perfectly grilled meat, a variety of sideorders and sauces, and also a big loaf of bread with every meal.

The staff are always nice and sometimes they will even slip you a free soda. The only downside I have with Izgara is that sometimes your order will take some time to get, but that is because its often very crowded. The guests are 90% cabdrivers and familjens from turkey/middleeast, which is a great sign of the food being autentic and genuine.

Terrible arrogant service from the guy running it,myself and my son had just finished our meal and were taking a coffee when he came over and told us he needed the table for others ,there were a bunch of guys who had come in and obviously asked for the table,i said we would be ten minutes as we had just eaten,and were just having a coffee he said do you know what time of year it is it rammadan and we need the table for other customers,i said am i not a customer also you took my money,never asked the others in the place but they were the same religion,open rasism on his part discusting...

I really recommend this place! Great variety on the menu, friendly staff and a lot for your money. The meat is grilled over open fire and the grilled veggies and all the sauces are so yummy. I haven’t tried everything but the falafel is huge, so if you aren’t a big eater you might split it with someone. The lamb platter is delicious and there is a complimentary salad bar and free coffee/tea and cookies afterwards. Great neighborhood restaurant that’s not too expensive and perfect for when you don’t feel like cooking but still want “real food” as opposed to the usual fast...
