Copper Club - Gin Bar & Asian Bistro — Restaurant in Stockholm

I was excited to try this place out. It looked great inside, and the menu was also interesting. We ordered the 7-course tasting menu. The food was good, nothing over the top, but the prices were also very decent, so no real complaints there. However, the pace of the courses was really uneven. We waited a long time after our initial appetizer and had long waits between each course. Some dishes, like the Massaman curry, could have been better with an added side of rice, for example, instead, you have to eat the curry like a soup.

We were seated beside a very loud and obnoxious group of people. Anyone would have found it impossible to enjoy a meal in this type of environment. When we asked the waiter to switch seats because of the loud group beside us (as there were several tables free in the restaurant), the waiter ignored our request and instead said they would lower the music (which I don't understand the logic of). We asked again and still were ignored. They obviously prioritized the table beside us, and didn't really care about our experience. We also had missed drink orders, and getting the bill took waaay too long for our comfort. Unfortunately, all this ruined the whole experience. I think this is a typical case of a great-looking place from the outside, but where the food (to some extent) and especially the service don't deliver.

Newly opened place in hammarby. It’s so so good with Asian food. And it is a gin distillery, so they have a menu full of gin options. Loved loved the food, it was sooo good. Especially the one pot green curry and the chicken dumplings. Mushrooms didn’t come out the way I was expecting, they were deep fried. I wouldn’t repeat that but the sauce it came with was amazing. I think the location is little off, so there aren’t too many people knowing abt it. But this would be such such a cozy place in winters. Interiors are beautiful and the bar is beautiful. Loved these binaculors they have on the tables to be able to Zoom look at all these gin bottles. I am definitely going back to...

🇸🇪 Äntligen har Copper Club Gin öppnat sin restaurang och ginbar i Hammarby Sjöstad! Lokalen är luftig men på något sätt ändå mysig och har för ovanlighetens skull bra akustik så det inte blir så högljutt. Cocktailmenyn är så klart gincentrerad och har förutom klassiker ett flertal riktigt bra signaturcocktails som visar upp deras egna tre ginsorter, men även enstaka andra som Trosa Gin. Inte så konstigt eftersom deras Toby Cattrall bemannar både pannor och bar. Därmed kunde vi även få vår testdrink, som inte är ginbaserad, och den var oväntat bra. Vi provade även deras utmärkta Yakuza Negroni som spektakulärt serveras i en dimma av rök. Vi kan inte nog rekommendera att även prova några av deras kreativa Gin & Tonics. För att inte tala om menyn av 200(!) ginsorter. Äntligen har Sjöstan fått en riktig bar och Stockholm en välsorterad ginbar väl värd en omväg. Vi återkommer med fler vänner! 🍸😍

🇬🇧 Copper Club Gin has finally opened its restaurant and gin bar in Stockholm! The venue is airy but somehow still cosy and, unusually, has good acoustics so it doesn't get too loud. The cocktail menu is obviously gin-centric and has, in addition to classics, several really good signature cocktails that showcase their own three types of gin, but also occasional others. The boilers and bar are manned by Toby Cattrall which allowed us to have our test drink, which is not gin-based, and it was unexpectedly good. We also tried their excellent Yakuza Negroni which is spectacularly served in a fog of smoke. We can't recommend enough that you also try some of their creative Gin & Tonics. Not to mention the menu of 200(!) gin varieties. Finally Stockholm has a proper gin bar well worth a detour. We will return with more...
