We stayed here for our trip in August. Even though it’s a motel, it’s a really good motel. Very clean and spacious.
The location is really good as it’s situated right outside a tram and we purchased the 72hr travel card which we were able to use throughout the whole of Stockholm. Therefore we saved monies by not staying in central. Free water and tea in the lobby. We didn’t get the breakfast option as they only offer cold breakfast but we went to the espresso house next door which offered great options and a few cafe down the road and the sky bar offers brunch. Supermarket few doors down too which offers a great variety. Free toiletries was offered but not replenished when finished so we had to ask for more. Free gym too.
The negatives: the pillows were too soft and we asked for extra. We couldn’t check in before 3pm but we were able to leave our luggage in their storage facility. It’s also a Motel so bear in mind they don’t have a safe, mini fridge or telephone in the room.
However, overall we would...
Read moreWe couldn’t have picked a better hotel for our quick vacation in Stockholm this April 2024. Motel L is stylish, reasonably priced and conveniently located. Upon entering the hotel, we were impressed by the contemporary design of the lobby and the carpeted floors. Our check in experience was a breeze. At 15 sqm, our room was on the small side but it was never lacking in style – there were two comfortable Carpe Diem beds and a rainshower in the bathroom. The soundproofing was also excellent affording us two restful nights. The location is unbeatable – there’s a coffeeshop (Espresso House) and a supermarket (ICA Supermarket) right next door. And the Martensdal tram station is just literally outside the hotel, like less than 50 steps away. It usually took us 20-30 minutes to get to T-Centralen.We were very pleased with Motel L and would never hesitate to come back here. Also worth mentioning are the warm and friendly staff. Shout out to May who really charmed us with her personality...
Read moreWe stayed at this hotel for four nights as a group of four. The hotel is quite large, with many rooms, a small gym, and a reception area with plenty of tables and sofas.||Although the hotel is far from the city centre (Södermalm area), it’s very easy to get there. There’s a tram stop right in front of the hotel entrance. ||The room was adequately sized and clean. The bathroom seemed new. There wasn’t a coffee or tea maker in the room, but you can get free coffee, tea, and cold water at the reception, which is very convenient for a quick drink.||Breakfast was correct, consisting mainly of Swedish dishes—breads, crêpes, juices, coffee, and tea. On the first day, they also had croissants, but we didn’t see them again during the rest of our stay. Overall, it’s a great value for the price, especially since hotels in Stockholm tend to be expensive. This hotel offers everything you need for a comfortable stay...
