Långholmens Wärdshus — Restaurant in Stockholm

I was incredibly suprised by this restaurant.

After dropping my bags off at the hotel nextdoor, I decided to check the prices here to see if it made sense for lunch. And yes, it was indeed.

I was able to get the lunch speial (almost missed the time!), and it was very good. The potatoes were perfectly cooked, and the fish was flavorful and juicy. The portion was enormous, but it also wasn’t a scam.

Before your meal, you are given a salad and bread to help you during your wait. I was able to get several of these salads (and bread), which was a great touch.

Unfortunately, I had to sit near the bar, because the entire restaurant was packed. Not a single space. As a result, my service was a little diminished, but it was still was much better than other restaurants I...

Had a classic Swedish "Christmas smoregasbord". From the fact that it was 95€ pp, the buffe did not meet expectations. The dishes were ok but you expect more varaity for that price . The herring selection (which is extremely important on a swedish Christmas buffe) was only 6 sorts . Sparkling water (made witch sparkling machine) cost another 8€ . The service was almost acceptable until they messed up the payment and could not transfer back money to my credit card .. so l left with a stack of cash . Toilets were dirty and had no decor. Food is good (well above average) but customer service is really bad. Was there when it started to rain. When the sides of the overhead canvas gave out and a couple of tables had their food and drink flooded, the staff simply left the outdoor seating area. Personally I think that when something like this happens the establishment should offer replacement dishes / drinks but here there was no help offered by staff to move guests to new tables, no towels for those who got drenched and not even a question if someone wanted to order something to replace...
