LAX - Sushi And Poké - Hammarby — Restaurant in Stockholm

Adjusting review based on the last multiple visits. There are good days and there are bad ones. The food is generally ok but sometimes, some of the fish e.g. tuna and kimchi didn't taste fresh and the cooked food seemed to have msg or some ingredients which made us feel unwell afterwards each time.

Food portions medium. Quick, cordial service. Clean restaurant with a relaxing ambiance.

🔸️ Bibimbap (with stewed salmon) 🤩🤩 Tasty but seems to have msg or seasoning in the food that leaves us feeling unwell and with a dry mouth. Kimchi was racid in our most recent order. Have ordered this at least 3x and each time was the same after effects.

The dish consists of soft, soya marinated cubes of salmon on a bed of steamed Japanese white rice, veggies, kimchi and marinated sliced cucumbers, topped with sunny side egg.

🔸️ Lax (salmon) sashimi 🤩🤩🤩🤩 15 slices of thick cut raw and flambé salmon. Served with marinated seaweed and scallop rims.

🔸️ Sushi 11 / 14 pieces 🤩 A variety of fish. The quality varies. Apart from salmon (safer choice), other fish used like tuna are not sashimi grade. Our last few orders didn't taste consistently fresh and my partner had stomachache.

Sides of seaweed, ginger and fruits. Sushi rice is too compact but otherwise good satisfying dish.

🔸️Bento 🤩🤩 Yakiniku and 1 stick of yakitori on a bed of rice and salad. Accompanied with nigiri. Sushi was nice but the rest were so so.

🔸️ Tempura Pokebowl 🤩🤩 Tempura were too soggy and chewy. Prefered that they didn't cut it up. Spicy mayonnaise ok but too much mayo. Rice and vegetables were the nice parts.

LAX has taken an extra step to make sure their food and restaurant interior stand out against other Sushi and Poke Bowl restaurants in the area in their price range.

I have tried their veggie poke bowl (both with tofu and another one with vegan salmon), veggie bibimbap, veggie sushi as well as veggie dumplings. They all come nicely garnished and with variety of ingredients that are tasty.

Their interior is fresh and clean. I can recommend both takeaway and dine-in.

The staff is friendly and helpful in regards to questions as well as figuring out allergies.
