Swedish cuisine with a modern twist, I would give 4.5 stars coz there is an improvement that can be done. The food materials of this place were selected from local providers, that is good not only because we could know the source of the food but also supporting local businesses. The cured char fish had totally removed the fishy odor and the green tomatoes had neutralized the heaviness of the fish. It was very appetizing. The coriander cream with lamb was a genius combo, together with the multi types of veggies served, it was a dish that made you focus more on veggies than the meat. The flavors of veggies were brought up and enhanced by the flavors of lamb grease. The cloudberry pancake was served with melted brown butter, sounds greasy but in fact it was tasty, a perfect balance of milky and fruity flavors. It was a pity that I’m allergic to nuts and could not enjoy the almond ice cream, which I believe was better than the vanilla one. The improvement can be done is the selection of the cut of the lamb. Mine piece of lamb had a lot of tendons inside, which was...
Read moreThis used to be my favourite brunch place in Stockholm for the past two years, because of the quality of the buffet. We tried the brunch menu, served because of current covid situation, and I was disappointed. The starter was great. However, the main course was an total disappointment : it seemed industrially made for both dishes (roasted pork - which tasted even worse than cheap julskinka - and the poached egg and spinach, which is basically 1 egg and spinach on a piece of brioche). We got fries with that, which looked and tasted exactly like the cheapest frozen fries we get from the supermarket +the fries spices you just put on it.
The dessert was very uninteresting, we didn't finish.
Also, all the waitresses were nice, except the one serving us the most, who was really unpleasant.
I'm not sure what happened there, but I'll wait until you resume with the buffet to try Lux Dag för dag again, and will revise my...
Read moreUnfortunately a disappointment overall. Food was very good overall, as tsty and fresh ingredients as one could expect and interesting combinations service didn’t meet the bar at all. No water provided without asking, we ordered ”something sparkling to start”, and instead of a menu received two glasses of what apparently was Deutz Brut (but hard to know since not poured at the table) very poor value for money overall. After 45 min, we had finished starters and mains (flet very rushed by the staff). Wine by the glass is just ridiculous - sek 200 for a (small) glass of mediocre cab sauvignon (a bottle costs 200 sek at systembolaget). The locale is uninspiring and bare bones
In summary 2000 sek for a 45 min dining...
