Mamadou — Restaurant in Stockholm

An interesting place, but somehow not totally for me. Lovely location, cosy inside, and overall friendly service, albeit that we had to wait a little too long for our mains. The complimentary mini spring rolls served prior to the starters were a nice touch. I had the Million Dollar Bull as my main course, which they kindly offered to make plant-based for me. It wasn't bad as such, but didn't bowl me over, either. I found it a somewhat confused dish, taste-wise. There was just an awful lot going on in terms of different flavours. I'd say, it's an okay place. Not cheap, but the portions are big. Kulinarisk katastrof – en upplevelse vi sent ska glömma.

Wow. Jag visste inte att det gick att misslyckas så totalt med thaimat – men här har man verkligen lyckats. Maten smakade i.n.g.e.n.t.i.n.g. Imponerande, nästan som om någon ansträngt sig för att ta bort varje spår av smak.

Beställde en räkrätt och fick tre räkor. Tre! Generöst. Nästan som en scavenger hunt där jag fick leta efter dem. Min kompis rätt var också en total katastrof.

När vi nämnde att det var dåligt fick vi ett vänligt “va tråkigt”. Och det var det. Väldigt tråkigt. Inget avdrag, inget engagemang – men ändå en nota.
