Wow! Bodega really left me speechless. The interior, the music, the drinks & the food - it’s really a miracle to be in this awesome restaurant. I got a pretty cool seat and was able to look at what was goin on in the restaurant and loved the music that was played. My dinner started perfectly with a delicious Campari which was soon accompanied by delicious crispy bread with salted butter. Right next to me sat a Swedish lady who was talking to one of the waitresses regarding how delicious the food was, so I really got a excited. Soon after followed my appetizer: Thin sliced beef with cheese and some extremely delcious sour sauce. The dish really was heaven, it was creamy, hearty, sour and truly amazing. Also the main dish was really delicious. I had some fish, which had the perfect consistency and was served in a delicious & creamy white mushroom sauce. They even brought my extra bread so I was able to get every last bit of sauce out of the plate. The servers were really friendly and made this evening an amazing experience. I was looking for a local Swedish restaurant and I found this one but was disappointed to discover that the reviews were very different then the experience. The food was too expensive and wasn’t seasoned and sour. I gave the place 3 stars because it’s a great place to go and have a drink with very warm environment for a luxurious bar. I can’t say if all the food is like that as I tried only a starter and main course. I add the photo of the starter, a smoked reindeer heart, I didn’t feel much the reindeer but was nice. And for me what make the experience as well is the waiter that was rushing me a bit for the whole dinner. We ate here 6 months ago and it was about the best I've ever had. Today we came back to Umeå for a visit and decided to book for another visit. My father is a Michelin-chef and I am confident in that this is one of the best restaurants I have been to. Is it the food? Is it the beer? Wine?
