Hi we dined as a family on our last night in adelboden. Hoping for it to be a memorable experience as a finale to our trip we decided to try this restaurant that is one of the Michelin guide restaurants or 2023. I’m sorry but it came no where close to that. The appetizers were great we ordered some soup and salad portion sizes were small though. Our mains had too much salt ( burger and fries) and to my biggest surprise the Thai curry was served with basmati rice instead of the jasmine rice that brings the true flavors of Thai cuisine. The confusing reviews are due to Alpenblick having both a bistro and a nice Michelin-starred restaurant under the same roof. The food in the Stube (starred) was absolutely top notch with original ideas and local ingredients (e.g. beef from a local Adelboden farmer). The sommelier was flexible enough to turn my wine pairing into an all-Swiss one -- don't drink that German Riesling when you can have a local Heida!

While the format is a tasting menu, you can switch to a vegetarian option for each course if you want -- I happily swapped out the tuna from far away with the local...

Really great restaurant and top service. The food was absolutely excellent too. However, the restaurant is very warm inside, and myself and the group I was with were uncomfortably warm the entire time. It felt like there was zero ventilation and we were all feeling sleepy by the time the dessert came.
