Il Fermento G&M — Restaurant in Andermatt

Great little restaurant, I've eaten here twice. The first time I was recommended the Gulasch and it was definitely a great choice, good flavor, packed with tender meat and a big portion. The fresh baked pieces of pizza dough that comes with it are a delight.

The pizza looked so great we came back the next day to try them ourselves. I had the pizza crudo and it was delicious. Exactly how a pizza should be.

We like the vibe in the restaurant, they have seatings at tables as well as the bar which is a great spot to have a quick meal.

Tip: Bring a vest or sweater you can take off, it can get a bit...

Overall a decent place for a bite, but not the best in Andermatt.

Owner/bartender was friendly. Menu/conversations were a little challenging swapping between German, Italian, and English (partially our fault, being primarily English speakers with only functional Italian).

Food was okay, but not the most amazing. Burger was well cooked but the bun was completely falling apart. Pizza with Bacon was pretty decent, but a little overcooked.

Pints are a little more expensive than other...

I think we caught them at a bad night. At least I hope it was a one time slip. The service was very confusing and it was hard to communicate over the pounding music. We like the location and good assortment of beer. The staff is usually very friendly and we have come here a lot over the years but this time we felt overlooked and we even felt ridiculed by staff for no reason obvious to us…this experience left us disappointed. Sorry but not coming back here...
