Benjarong — Restaurant in Baar

The location is central and they have a nice back outdoor space which i was very happy to see. I also recognized some of the staff from back when they worked at Imperial Thai where I ate nearly weekly but is now closed. I'm giving a 2 star rating because I and my wife ordered vegetarian Thai and both of us found pieces of Chicken in our meals. Upon asking why this was the case we were told that they probably fell in by accident due to the fact that they use the same Chicken sauce. This means that even if your getting a vegetarian meal the entire curry is cooked together with Chicken first. That's just wrong on all principles. Made me wonder what other cost savings measures are being made...at least when I refused to pay the dishes (I did pay for all the rest) they accepted hence...

DO NOT ORDER TAKE AWAY from this place! Look at the photos, it's smaller than a woman's hand!!!

Every other thai restaurant within 10km offers easily 2-3x the food for the same, if not better, price. CHF 28.75 For a tiny portion of basel chicken. The chicken isn't even small strips, it looks like chicken ground meat (Poulet Hackfleisch)

Very average food. Tom ka gay was disappointing and the curry below average: I mean not tasty, lacking any specific taste which would help you remind the experience in a positive way. I trust the kitchen is decent, but if you happen to go to Geneva to the Patara restaurant or even in Zurich at the Ban Song Thai you know what I'm talking about. Service was nice...
