After waiting 1h, I received the wrong dish after repeating multiple times what I want (pizza carbonara and not the pasta carbonara).... I got pasta carbonara. In addition, the pasta was bland, had soupy cream, not enough cheese and the meat was uncooked. A friend of mine who also waited more than an hour, got a cold pizza. I am overall very dissapointed about the service and do not recommend this...

We saw the picture painted on the outside of the building and was intrigued. The history of the building is very apparent from the inside. We got seated by the hostess and ordered drinks. The food came very quickly and was of a great quality. We are everything. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed here. We whiled away a few hours eating and chatting. I would go here again and I recommend...

Ich bin in dieses Restaurant gegangen, so wie ich in ein Museum gehe - mit dem Interesse, eine fremde Welt zu entdecken. Es ist die Welt meiner Kindheit - von der ich froh bin, dass sie verbrannt ist.

Der große Raum ist mit dunklem Holz getäfert, auf der Terrasse gibt es Geranien, und auf dem Tisch steht Aromat und Flüssigwürze (nicht Maggi) wie eh und je.

Die Gemüserösti war gut, wenn auch eine viel zu kleine Portion. Ob bei solch musealen Restaurants wirklich zwangsläufig Tiefkühlgemüse verwendet werden muss - wohl schon. Es ist auch egal, die Rösti und das Gemüse waren schmackhaft. Das offene Bier war frisch und schmeckte ebenfalls sehr gut.

Ein wahrer Lichtblick in dieser Ödnis der Nachkriegszeit war der Kellner, der - obwohl perfekt Baseldeutsch sprechend und mit urschweizerischer Freundlichkeit ausgestattet - als Secondo erkennbar war.

Der Preis war unteres Mittelfeld und für einmal in Ordnung. Die Toiletten...
