Volta Bräu — Restaurant in Basel

Very spacious and cosy. I really like the atmosphere and profile of the people coming there. They also have great beer or coctails! Apparently, they have american stand up on every second Friday. I was spontaneously there for the second half of a show and it was great! I watch a lot of stand-ups on Netflix and I like it but this was simply better than that. Honestly, I was having an awfully sad day when I was asking myself if I can ever smile again and a friend invited me there to cheer me up a bit, and it was a great decision! Please...

A fantastic microbrewery with a nice selection of beers served by friendly staff. The staff speak English and the place gets very busy. It is clearly popular with the local community and tourists. Lovely beer garden outside and plenty of seating inside. You can get a tasting paddle of four 1dl beers for 7CHF good to taste before choosing a larger 3dl or 5dl glass. Would definitely recommend this place to all beer enthusiasts. Bar snacks are available, crisps, pretzels,...

Except for one bartender who specifically asks to use "Please" when you ask for drinks rest of the staff is great. I don't feel bad but it it appears awkward when new person in the group of friends goes to open the tab and is met with a use "please" request...and it is the way in which it is asked for....turn off...but rest of the guys and girls are great. Place is good, and four type of beer / lager are good too from microbrewery...in snacks it specifically like bread...
