Sternen — Restaurant in Brienz (BE)

The hotel located in the valley (lake of Brienz, which is kind of) in the middle of nowhere but extremely beautiful and not too busy, by far the accommodation is acceptable, do not expect anything fancy which only make sense according to the location of Brienz itself, however everything about this hotel is convenience and just about right, not too much but also not too little. The bed is very comfortable, the room and the hotel is VERY CLEAN, the owner is SUPER NICE and very funny, all of the staffs are very nice as well, and of course the views is also amazing, the hotel is located near the central train station of Brienz and supermarket (5-10mins walk). Last but not the least, the restaurant.. they serve delicious foods which we did not regret and even way beyond our expectation ( my husband and i were a little bit curious due to the restaurant & bar area were full of people all day even though the town was a little quiet, then we had the dinner there and we found out the reason, they serve an amazing food and the price is acceptable).. if you wish to have a nice chilling time with your friends, lover or family in Brienz, Seehotel Sternen should be the right one for you. We asked about parking for our cars, someone working inside came out and said it's fine, we parked here in our yard, we parked the car, went down to check and 3 women were with us,,, entered the bathroom. We left there because we didn't like the menu, suddenly the one who was there called "waitress", came to us with such a disgusting and smelly attitude and took a picture of the car and then she says: either you pay for the toilets and parking or I send the picture of the car to the municipality and they will give you a report⚠️‼️. Quite simply a disgraceful, disgusting, strange, shocking and ridiculous act. ⛔️Do not come to this restaurant on my recommendation.

The service at this establishment was very bad and the staff displayed racist behavior towards us. We had to wait 50 minutes just to get our ice cream order. When we informed them that we needed to leave to catch a boat, and requested to cancel the order since it had taken so long, they threatened to call the police if we didn't pay. We asked for take-out containers so we could bring the ice cream with us, but they didn't have any. They finally gave us some paper cups, which are not suitable for holding ice cream, and only provided two plastic spoons for the over 10 scoops of ice cream we had ordered. To top it off, the manager explicitly told the waitstaff "never sit these people again", clearly indicating discriminatory and racist...
