Many of my belongings are now missing. I’ve been trying to contact someone, but no one is responding, and I need answers immediately.

This morning, while we were sleeping, cleaning staff entered our room without knocking or asking for permission. We were wearing sleepwear, and they completely disrespected our privacy. Is this acceptable behavior?! Where are your rules and standards?!

The staff of cleaning they started coming into our room as early as 7 AM without explanation.

Response to Your Unprofessional and Offensive Reply

Dear Familie Huggler & Team,

I am truly shocked by the way you handle guest complaints.

. Instead of taking responsibility or showing any willingness to resolve the issue, you chose to make false accusations and avoid accountability.

First, I want to clarify that I did not cover my face at any point during my stay. I arrived with my face uncovered and remained that way throughout. So your comment about the face-covering ban has absolutely nothing to do with me and seems like an attempt to justify something that never happened.

Second, we never cooked in the room — and there is no kitchen in the room in the first place. So who exactly are you trying to mislead with that claim?

As for your accusation that I smoked in the room — I do not smoke at all and have never used cigarettes in my life. So who are you referring to?

Now I come to you with a real issue — my belongings are missing — and your response is: “You covered your face, smoked, and left a dirty kitchen”? None of that ever happened. So what am I — or anyone reading your response — supposed to think? What are you really trying to say?

Your tone and the way you respond — both to me and to other guests in public reviews — clearly show a pattern of poor professionalism and lack of respect, with no effort to understand, clarify, or take responsibility.

I ask God to show me...

Looking just for a cheap and simple place to stay, I was very impressed with what I got for my money in the Weisses Kreuz.||I had chosen a single room in the B&B area - no ensuite - behind the main hotel. It might have been a tad old fashioned, but it came at an incredibly low price, was impeccably clean and well looked after, and featured an excellent bed. I also had access to a good strong shower in a separate bathroom on the same floor. ||Should you stay for a week and want to spend much time in your room, you might want to pay a bit more to stay in the main hotel with lake view rooms, but it you're going to be out and about, the B&B modest option is fine.||Staff was very friendly and breakfast had a nice selection, perfect to prepare you for a day in the mountains.||Although my room had no special views, I would be sitting on a bench looking at the glorious lake and mountain views just a few steps from the hotel. Busses, trains and boats are literally on your doorstep, and there are so many walks and excursions directly from Brienz, you could stay a long time without getting bored. Very closeby is among others the Ballenberg open air museum, where you can easily spend a day (I have fond memories of a visit a few years ago). Also not far are the Giessbach waterfalls, just spectacular, you can even walk behind one of them. The village itself is quiet and and very pleasant, quite a short train ride from the bigger but less charming Interlaken.||The Weisses Kreuz was really an unexpected find in this beautiful area. It is so rare in Switzerland to find reasonably priced hotels! I will...

My husband, stepdaughter and I walked in and stood by the outdoor hostess stand. The short-haired waitress walked past use twice and didn't even make eye contact or welcome us.

We went inside to seek out someone who could give us guidance on the seating. She then told us we could sit anywhere, which was helpful, but again, she made no eye contact and rushed us to move out of her way.

When we sat down, a gentleman came over and stood by our table for approximately 10 seconds before walking away without saying a word. We knew right off the bat that it was because we are Americans. The initial unfriendly waitress was laughing with the table next to us, but couldn't even make eye contact with us. We ended up leaving as we knew the service wasn't going to be what it has been elsewhere.

Judging by the owner's passive-aggressive responses to the other reviewers' post, my review won't change the way they do business, but it could potentially change how much business they receive from anyone not originally from Switzerland, hence my review. Go here if you want to be ignored. Otherwise, spend your hard earned money elsewhere. Advice to the owner and employees: if you don't want foreigners in your facility, put up a sign so we don't waste our time and aren't subjected to your...

The rooms are okay but: - either you ask one with lake view with the traffic noise from the main steet - or you try to be smart and ask for one at the back, but there's the train with a diesel engine and the hotel's loading platform, which starts making noise at 6:30. The beds are good but the doors and windows are old and noisy (no padding to shut them silently). The breakfast is rather cheap, all industrial, but there's at least a station to cook the eggs. I would have given 3 stars but the small and dark haired young lady at the reception came across as antipathetic, not smiling and seemingly annoyed by our presence. The reservation process was not simple. We called directly to let the hotel have higher revenue by cutting booking.com. They asked us for a credit card number and a signature. We were on a bike trip with no printer so we just sent a credit card and they kept asking for a scan of a signed paper. We had to call to explain the situation to get them accept to book us without the bureaucratic procedure, despite having a credit card number!

Took a quick 1 week trip on a family matter. Got a room in the annex behind main hotel. 2 beds and a sink. Shared bathroom and shower between two rooms. Very nice room, cozy and quaint. I usually stay in the main hotel with my family, but since I was traveling alone this time, this was all I needed and less expensive so I thought I would try it. Breakfast was charged separate but incredibly good. Staff is excellent and location is right by the train station and grocery. Highly recommended for 1 or 2 people to just sleep while sightseeing all day. Within walking distance to anything you need. For the price, I would stay there again. Very safe area. Very clean. Beautiful views in the morning.

My family and I stayed here 2 nights in July. My children, 20 years, 18 years and 8 years enjoyed a comfortable stay in a quadruple room with ensuite. The room at the front of the hotel had a breathtaking view of Lake Brienz, while my husband and I had an equally comfortable room at the back of the hotel overlooking the Rothorn Bahn. Despite the central location, on the main road through Brienz, we got an excellent night's sleep on both nights, thanks to the black out blinds and good windows. The location was perfect for the train station, local attractions and the promenade for the boat to Geissbach. The staff were amazing and very welcoming.
