Ristorante alla Cantina — Restaurant in Circolo della Melezza

We spent our family vacation (with kids) in Ticino and chose to stay in Tegna at Alla Cantina – and we’re so glad we did! The rooms were really nice, and we had a big terrace with a beautiful view. From the moment we checked in, Sabrina and her team were super welcoming and helpful.

The restaurant was a real highlight – amazing food with the flavors of Sicily, which we absolutely loved. The whole place is set on a small square with a fountain where the kids played happily all day until very late, which made things even more relaxing for us.

Charming and tastefully decorated place with attention to detail. It has its own parking and a lovely courtyard, located near the main road and the train station. Soft background music adds to the relaxing atmosphere.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, service was good overall. The menu is short but offers enough options. Starters and salads were nice, but mains were rather average — we had slightly higher expectations given the Michelin Bib Gourmand mention.

Le Terre di Pedemonte hanno tanti locali dove si mangia bene e "Alla Cantina" (ristorante di "Alloggi alla Cantina") è sicuramente uno di questi.

Arrivati senza prenotare (locale non grandissimo, vi conviene farlo), ci è stato fatto notare in maniera diretta che avremmo fatto meglio a farlo, ma poi hanno aggiunto che sarebbe stato meglio perchè così avremmo potuto avere un tavolo migliore.

Dal momento che eravamo li per mangiare non ci siamo formalizzati ma abbiamo preso nota e trasmettiamo il consiglio ;)

Carta intrigante ed in più, dato il periodo da fungiatt, abbiamo avuto delle opzioni hors carte con i funghi. Inutile dire che ne abbiamo approfittato, chi con l'antipasto, chi con altre portate. Ogni piatto preso è stato gustato pienamente, ed oseremmo dire d'avere avuto pietanze cucinate direttamente da loro e con prodotti freschi, cosa che non è sempre evidente da trovare.

Non diamo il massimo per: il servizio: cameriere con un humor tutto personale: a fine serata non davamo più peso, ma per i prezzi e la qualità della cucina l'abbiamo trovato un po' stridente nel contesto. la tartare è stata preparata ad un tavolo vuoto dietro il nostro e non al nostro tavolo come da aspettativa

Che dire, complessivamente ci torneremo perchè abbiamo apprezzato le pietanze ed a conti fatti è stata una bella serata. Lo consigliamo, a patto d'essere coscienti che probabilmente non è il posto adatto se volete la serata perfetta. Ma per un buon pasto, non...
