Summary of Incident and why I’m giving a 1 star review: Found a hair in my food Told the staff about it (but had to flag them down since there were too many people for how much staff as stated above) Staff brought replacement dish When making payment I asked is there anything to be done about the fact I found a hair in my food? Like a discount or something? A lot of restaurants will give the dish for free or heavy discount since hair in food is a big no no, looks terrible on them, and is just downright nasty The staff said but we brought you a replacement so no discount (almost like they’re doing me a favor for replacing a dish I’m paying for that had hair in it???) I proceeded to say a hair in food is disgusting but if they can’t give a discount that’s fine The staff individual turns to the owner who laughs it off like it’s some ridiculous thing and waves it off nonchalantly like it’s no big deal The staff says sure we can give you a discount and proceeds to take off around 1-2 Swiss Francs for a dish that’s 18.50 Swiss Francs (honestly why bother at that point?)

The discount itself, the conversation, and staff behavior was all quite disrespectful

This incident really did not sit well with me since having pride in the food you make and respect for you, the customer, should be the cornerstone of any cafe/restaurant/etc

Hence the 1 star review and I WOULD NOT recommend going to this establishment. There are plenty others in the area that you can get the same atmosphere/vibe without having to worry about...

Most expensive scrambled egg in Switzerland!

We had breakfast and ordered scrambled eggs. Two eggs. (was not on the menue) It cost 16 francs. That was more expensive than the salmon toast for 14 francs or the classic toast with egg for 10 francs. Total rip-off. Tourist rip-off! The employee said I should report it; didn't think it was right either. However, I didn't want to argue; They have their prices. And I'm writing a post about it here. Everyone has their own...

Conosco questo ristorante da anni e, anche se ci vado piuttosto di rado, quando mi trovo in zona per lavoro mi è sempre capitato di fermarmi volentieri per pranzo. In passato ho avuto esperienze generalmente positive, ma purtroppo questa volta non è andata così.

Il servizio è stato davvero troppo lento: ci sono voluti circa 45 minuti dall’ordine all’arrivo dei piatti — e parliamo di un semplice sandwich e un piatto di pasta. Il locale era quasi vuoto, quindi l’attesa è risultata ancora più inspiegabile. Avendo una pausa pranzo limitata, questa situazione mi ha causato disagio.

Ci sono poi stati vari piccoli disservizi che nel complesso hanno peggiorato l’esperienza: nessuno ha chiesto se volessimo formaggio con la pasta, il caffè è arrivato senza zucchero, e ogni volta che ci veniva portato qualcosa, il personale sembrava non sapere a chi fosse destinato il piatto. Nessuna parola di scuse per l’attesa né un gesto di cortesia, come offrire un caffè, per compensare il disagio — tutto è stato trattato come se fosse normale.

Il cibo era nella media. Dispiace dirlo, perché il posto mi è sempre piaciuto, ma spero che prendano queste osservazioni come uno spunto...
