Le Café Vaudois — Restaurant in Ecublens

I went to this restaurant with my wife without reservation. They welcomed us and let us choose a table. There are two dining rooms, the one were we where were was very nice. The other room is close to the bar, it offers bigger tables but it's a bit less well decorated (don't get me wrong, the place is excellent). We ordered a salad, a risotto and a mixed dish with risotto, mushrooms and veal. The risotto(s) were excellent, the veal very tasty and soft, the mushrooms were good. To end our meal I had a moelleu au chocolat, maybe I like too much chocolate, but it was very good. The dresser was served algal with a ball of milk ice cream, this was also good. Probably the best restaurant in Switzerland. Amazing taste, prime ingredients, good variety and choice, generous portions, quick and precise service, kind and accommodating staff, correct pricing, nice and cozy ambiance. What could you possibly ask more?

Alors pour mes amis et moi c'est un gros loupé que ce repas du midi. 2 plats du jour, émincé de porc à la zurichoise. Goût moyen et quantité pour enfant. 1 ravioli aux truffes, bon mais idem quantité insuffisante. Pâtes carbonara, cette fois la quantité ok mais trop poivré et surtout le lard brûlé. En dessert une tarte du jour orange meringuée, un délice qui ne rattrape pas le fiasco des plats. On a choisi le restaurant pour ses bonnes notes, mais nous n'y retournerons pas.
