Unfortunately, I left this place quite disappointed. I rarely write negative reviews — I usually prefer not to leave any at all — but in this case I feel it’s necessary to share my experience.
I used to come here often on weekends before the major renovation in 2025, and I had always enjoyed it. The place had a simpler charm, and the quality matched the prices. While the new space is undoubtedly beautiful, I don’t think I’ll be returning.
I stopped by for a late lunch on a Saturday and ordered a tartare — a dish that’s simple in theory, but easy to get wrong. From the start, the service was underwhelming: understaffed and noticeably unwelcoming. When my mother asked for a food menu, the response was abrupt and almost irritated, as if we had asked something inappropriate, even though we simply wanted to eat, not just drink.
The worst part, however, was the food. The tartare had a strange orange color — possibly due to some odd seasoning like ketchup? — and it honestly ranked among the worst I’ve had in the region. The presentation was poor: the plate was visibly dirty with fingerprints and grease. Small details, yes, but they matter. It doesn’t take much to clean the edge of a plate before it leaves the kitchen.
To make things worse, I had to wait nine full minutes for a small plate of butter after requesting it for the toast. I ended up eating out of hunger, trying to avoid further interaction with the staff.
The spritz was decent, but noticeably smaller than what I used to get in previous years. It’s a real shame, because this was a place I often visited with family and friends. It used to be simple, but it always delivered.
I sincerely hope things improve over time, as the potential is there. Ps:I suggest to do a little visit to ustria lags, for trying their tartare I think could give...
Read moreNo table service. The table where we seated (the only one available) had glasses from the previous guest and nobody took it away. The staff was totally rude: they don’t greet you, don’t thank, they barely talk. We ordered 2 cappuccini and a slice of cake (20CHF, after the 19CHF per person entry), needless to say it was overpriced and -to my taste- not that good. They don’t tell you anything so you’re left waiting, wondering where you have to go. My mom tried to take a trail to put the coffees and from the other side of the room there was a lady shouting that she can’t use that. Also another fun fact: they don’t even give you sugar with your coffee, you have to ask for it. The location is nice because the lake is pretty, but the restaurant is nothing special and the staff definitively should be a bit more mannered. I don’t recommend coming...

Everything is fresh and house made (also the dersert). The entrance fee to access the restaurant and bathing area is CHF 12.- for adults.
