Café Populaire — Restaurant in Fribourg - Freiburg

It was my second visit and it was terrible. The other day we ordered around 21 o'clock, we received our drinks fairly fast but we never got the meal we ordered. After waiting almost an hour (the last time I already had to wait so long and they seemed busy) I asked where our food was. They forgot our order and had already closed the kitchen. Which was unbelievable and annoying since all other restaurants close at 22. They wouldn't even serve us something simple. But the worst part was the rude employee who told me "c'est humain" well lady it is humain to do your freaking job. Definetely not going back ever again, Fribourg has a lot of other great burger...

One of the best inexpensive locations in the city. Very well priced and done in a inexpensive manner. No fuss yet felt like a nice dining experience.

Got the "Fribourger" (get it?) And it was perfectly cooked and stacked with great ingredients. The bun was whole wheat and has a great softness to it yet not soggy. The beef was cooked to the perfect temp where it was enough pink to make it juicy. Cooked to order as well. Was it frozen? Couldn't tell.

The service was even better as they all spoke English, were cool, helpful and funny. The prices for everything was around under 20ch which is great...
