Came here for dinner with family. The restaurant is located right at the beginning of the old town of Fribourg on Rue de Lausanne (main street running through the old town). We ordered the Veggie Starter Platter, Delhi Thali (doesn’t come with a bread/naan but just rice), Paneer Butter Masala, Garlic naan, Onion and Chili naan, Cheese and chili naan. Overall food was good, I would say above average but nothing spectacular or lick your finger good. The paneer butter masala was overly sweet for me. The tadka daal in thali was good, the saag paneer in thali was a bit bland and lacked flavor and could have done with more seasoning. The breads/naans were all great. Also plus points to them for not charging for the tap water. The restaurant itself has nice ambience and the serving staff were really friendly and helpful. Overall a good dining experience! Would recommend as good north Indian place...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Golden Indiai at Fribourg, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was absolutely top-notch. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed for a great dining experience.

Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely incredible! Every dish was bursting with authentic flavors, and you could tell they were made with the freshest ingredients. Whether you’re a fan of spicy dishes or prefer something milder, there’s something for everyone on the menu.

Editing this review after my 1st experience was an isolated event. Also, it is absolutely evident the owners care about their customers and their business.

Second time around the portions were definitely more generous. The dishes are well presented and rather tasty, particularly the butter chicken. Staff is polite and amiable.

I would still appreciate if the dishes were actually marked so as to know which is which, but that's a minor concern.
