Funny, certainly you did not keep your ego on a leash that evening. Even while speaking with a female customer. Sometimes ego builds own narrative which loses touch with reality. Yes, she did reserve place for 25 for an afterwork Apero from 5pm to 7pm on a Friday evening. As it is with Aperos, people drop by after they get free from work and stay on as long as they wish or have time. It’s difficult to predict but people plan for more just in case. You must have a special power to know the exact number of people even before the host. In the end, at least 19 people showed up that evening. They can leave you a nice review if you want to confirm the number. We never raised any objection to any other guest sitting. The place was empty. It all seems like a big confusion – something got lost in translation while we were busy tending to guests.
The essence is – The need not have become an unpleasant evening for a paying customer who invited friends to your place to celebrate something. You spoilt her moment and mood by your ridiculous behavior.
Thanks for the offer of coffee, but no thanks. This place does not deserve a second visit.
All I can ask you be courteous to your guests and especially female guest. She was shocked and shaking after your ‘respectful private conversation’, which made me intervened. We did not speak about the details till we left the place. No one deserves to be told off by people who are supposed to serve them.
I am sure Ariana can do better.

Reply: The booking was made as required. You clearly misunderstood her ask. She just requested if you could move a couple of tables and chair to facilitate better conversations between people. Any establishment gladly does that for its customers. Your place was virtually empty as it was 5pm to 7pm.
Instead of trying to understand your customer and their needs, You decided to bully a woman. She did not tell us till late evening how badly you spoke with her, else you would have gotten a fitting reply then and there. Shame on you.
This is not the way to treat anyone. Your establishment should fire the manager and if you happen to be the owner then good luck your customers will abandon you.
An apology to her would be a good start to mend this. Let see if you have the humility to apologize or you have too big an ego.
Establishment response: Response from the owner 14 hours ago Dear Aditya Kumar,
We recieve your comment.
As informed upon your arrival unoftunately on that day it seems your event planner had not booked the desired event as expected by your guests.
Indeed private rooms need to be booked in advance and can not be guaranteed upon arrival.
We always do our best to be accomodating unfortunately on that occasion your requests for service had to be denied as the room was booked by others costumers.
Regards, Maison Ariana
Original review: This should be on your list of places to avoid in Geneva. Owner/manager has temper issues; did not shy away from speaking rudely with female customers too. Even by Geneva standards...
Read moreTerrible experience. Went there for lunch with a friend. Chicken was too heavy on the sauce and fries were soggy. Both were overly salty. My friend ordered a salad. She got tiny pieces of cheese with the salad, and he lettuce was not fresh at all. When we respectfully complained to the waiter about the salad, he told us that's just the way it is. 19 francs for a bad salad is terrible. Do not go there. Coop Restaurant across the street is...
