Restaurant L'Ambiance — Restaurant in Geneva

We asked our receptionist at the Hotel Geneva Fassbind for restaurant recommendations. He told us if we were interested in Italian food, that every hotel guest who comes back from L' Ambiance tells him that the food is excellent. So, we took a 3-minute walk to this relaxed, friendly Italian restaurant. Family-owned and operated, we started with an excellent mixed salad with fresh vegetables, then had home made lasagna with chantarelle and bolete mushrooms and fagottini stuffed with truffles with a saffron sauce. Our friendly chef/server had made the pasta by hand that morning. He was cooking and serving so it took a while between servings, but it was so worth it! Both dishes were absolutely delicious! We had never eaten mushroom lasagna before. It was the best lasagna I have ever had. We are delighted to have discovered L' Ambiance, and recommend it to anyone looking for world-class Italian...

Totally authentic Italian cuisine and service. I felt I had got a special treatment but, then, I noticed the others had got the same kind of attention.
