Don't come here if you have an allergy, they don't take them seriously and are very rude (as per other comments). I told the waiter that I am vegan and have a nut allergy. I gave him examples of some of the nuts I'm allergic to. He told me he would let the kitchen know. The soup arrived with a ball of cheese on it- ok no big deal I took it out - he placed a food basket in front of me. I ate one piece and then a second and realized there were nuts in it. I put it down right away and called him over. When I asked if it was nuts he said yes but the bread basket is for the whole table not just for you. I told him that was very irresponsible, he should have mentioned it. The waiter was rude and unapologetic so I demanded to speak to the manger. A second even ruder man came to the table, and acted like it was not a big deal and tried to blame me. I don't think they understand that people can die from these types of allergies, it's a very big deal. Finally a third man came, who at first also tried to play down the seriousness but soon became more apologetic about it. I am lucky I am ok. I sent back my meal and did not eat anything and they had the audacity to charge me. I told them I wasn't paying for anything so they finally took my order off the bill. Terrible experience and the two waiters were so rude. The third man did say he'd stop serving breakfast with nuts. I hope that true for others who have...
Read moreWe walked over and arrived 15 minutes early for our 19:00 reservation. The manager greeted us and sat us . The kitchen was not yet open so my wife had a glass of the local sauvignon blanc and I had a glass of the local, very dry rosé. The staff was helpful, friendly, efficient without being intrusive. We had sautéed chanterelles and prawn risotto as entrees, both especially delicious. My wife had the rack of lamb, different than the American or Australian lamb we get at home, but prepared medium rare, sauce on the side, as requested. I had local fera, a fresh water fish from Lac Léman (Lake Geneva), a mild, white fish with a caper and olive sauce. Very tasty. We were unable to resist dessert. My wife had a chocolate cake, outstanding. I had the best Black Forest cake I have ever eaten. The outdoor setting with the lake view made everything...
