Geneva from our perspective is a pretty expensive place to eat with a limited variety of dining choices. Lots of Pizzerias and restaurants that are fondue galore (well no surprise there since it is Switzerland). We were somewhat underwhelmed while dining out. Surprised we found a Vietnamese eatery. A real deal authentic Vietnamese restaurant. Had an excellent dining experience at Thuy Hang. As an added incentive it was not expensive, which was a surprise. Nice cozy atmosphere and an extensive menu. Some of the best if not the best Vietnamese we've ever had. Didn't expect much from there house wine, but was pleasantly surprised. It was very good. Menu is in French and English. One caveat though, not all the wait staff speak English. Not the end of the world though as you can muddle by and they pretty much get an English speaking severer quickly if there is a communication problem. I had Banh Xeo (Saffron Crepe stuffed with pork and shrimp). Generous portion and beyond delicious. My wife had Vit Sot Cam (Duck in orange sauce) and was not disappointed. Run from this place. Unfortunately, I can't give this place the zero stars it deserves. Service was non-existent. Waited 30 minutes for our drinks and 40 minutes to finally get our appetizer. There was one server for the whole restaurant. When I complained about the wait, the server was indifferent. She didn't care and the slow service did not change throughout the evening. Food was awful. The beef plate I ordered had very little beef and there was a pool of oil at the bottom of my plate when I was finished. Pretty prejudiced and Rude waitress we had. I just had one question…and asked if they had a small size for the meatball pho because i didn’t want to overeat and get sick. And she started yelling. Completely rude and we waited so long for the food. I don’t think I ever waited for pho for this long unless I was making it at home.
