Restaurant Stauffacher — Restaurant in Ingenbohl

I just finished an extraordinary dinner at Restaurant Stauffacher. My limited German language skills did make the menu a bit difficult, but I was promptly offered assistance sorting out the details. The staff continued going out of their way, without prompting, to make me feel welcome - by adding ice cubes to the glass of tap water ordered by an American, for example.

All of the food was delicious, and the portions were large enough to satisfy even after a long day of hiking. Overall, this is not just a place to check out if you're in Brunnen, but also a place that you should visit Brunnen...

We were on our way back from holidays and dropped by for a quick lunch. I liked their selection of salads and the classic Swiss food. The menu was very reasonably priced - CHF19.50 for their 3 course set lunch is unbeatable value. We enjoyed the food thoroughly and the servers were so friendly and chatty. Love the quaint atmosphere with stained glass windows. Hard to find such quaint Swiss restaurants anymore. Will come back again when we are in this area again. Amazing Swiss food and great service! As Americans traveling to Switzerland for the first time, we were delighted by the kindness of our server, the attentiveness to our meal, and the delicious traditional Swiss food. I had the Rösti and my wife had the Wiener Schnitzel. Both were exactly what we needed after a long day of hiking. They were made perfectly and came in large portions. We ended the evening with ice cream for dessert and felt completely content. I hope we get the pleasure of eating here again...
