I had a quick lunch in this simple, bistrot-like eatery in Grand-Lancy. My main reason for choosing this place was it's proximity to my camera repair guru, bringing my dad's old Leica II from 1937 for service. The restaurant appears very popular with locals and people working in the neighborhood so it rapidly filled up between 12.30 and 13.00 when there was not a single table free. The plate of the day this Friday was filet of perch for very reasonable money which obviously attracted many of the customers. I had a rather small portion of calf kidneys, cooked to perfection and rapidly served by the busy and kind waiters. Read moreToday, myself and my colleagues had a booking for 12.30 at this restaurant. It was a total fiasco. The service was dreadful as our food was not served until 13.50. By the time the food did come, a number of us were in a rush to get back to work therefore we had to our food very quickly. We were not offered any "Plat du Jour" and so we made do with a choice of pasta dishes, which were of very poor quality. The food was really salty and was just about of average taste. I made a complaint on paying the bill, but a repetitive "sorry" just did not cut it. I would not recommend this restaurant as the service was just absolutely dreadful.Overall, we were treated very badly as customers and I personally will not be returning...
