The good stuff: I enjoyed the starter of local cheese with figs, which was tasty. In general, the portion sizes are good, and some of the staff were nice people.
The bad stuff: outside of the good starters, the food was not of very good quality, the price quality ratio is off. We had sashimi, tagliatelle. and the burger. The service is really not OK though. Waiting times are too long, staff say they will come in a minute and they just do not show up. At some point, I got up to ask if we could have our drinks, 30 minutes after ordering and I was skillfully ignored by the staff behind the bar. We ordered everything at the same time, we got out starters first, our drinks after, followed by the bread that was part of the starters we finished 5 minutes before. Tables were not cleaned after people left, and although it was not busy for a Friday night, the staff did not seem to be equipped to handle it by any other means than plainly ignoring the customers.
The restaurant is currently closed and dining is in the bar area, which in itself is maybe not amazing but not too much of a bother. It may add to the lack of...
Read moreL’Olivo offers a pleasant dining environment with a decent team and nice atmosphere that works well for both quick bites and business meetings. The setting is comfortable and the service is adequate, making it a convenient spot for casual dining or professional discussions.
Unfortunately, the food quality significantly undermines the overall experience. While the restaurant sources good quality beef for their burgers, the kitchen execution is severely lacking. During our visit, we ordered two burgers - one medium and one well-done - but both arrived nearly raw and clearly undercooked. This represents a serious food safety concern and demonstrates poor kitchen management.
The quality of the ingredients shows promise, but without proper cooking techniques and attention to customer specifications, even premium beef becomes inedible. For a restaurant to succeed, consistent food preparation is essential, and L’Olivo falls short in this...
Read moreI was honestly shocked by the poor service at the restaurant in what is supposed to be Hilton hotel. The experience was far below expectations. First, there was only one waitress attending to our table of 10, which was clearly overwhelming for her. Our water and wine glasses were left empty for most of the meal, and no one bothered to refill them. On top of that, the waitress got our orders mixed up and couldn’t remember who had ordered what. To make matters worse, we were even given the wrong menu at the start! The whole experience was so chaotic that I found myself repeatedly asking my friends, 'Is this really a Hilton hotel?' For such a prestigious name, I expected far better service. This was incredibly disappointing and not...
